Team News

Everton have been struggling with injuries recently, centre-backs Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin are both out will hamstring problems, so Antolin Alcaraz and John Stones are likely to feature in tomorrows fixture. Gerard Deulofeu, Arouna Kone and Darron Gibson will all be watching from the sidelines for the Blues. After a few Christmas fixtures, it is likely Everton will be rotating the squad.

The R's will also be rotating their squad, as they have also emerged from the Christmas break. On-loan midfielder Tom Carroll is unavailable for QPR, however Tottenham have confirmed that they will allow other loanee, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, to feature for them.

Form

Roberto Martinez's first season in charge is getting better and better by every game. The Blues have only lost 2 times in the league this campaign, and it is clear Roberto wants to pick up a trophy for Everton this season. Everton ended 2013 with just 2 home defeats (Wigan and Sunderland) all year, teams such as Manchester City, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea have all failed to win at Goodison Park. QPR will have a tough game.

QPR on the other hand are 3rd in the Championship, and have only lost once since late October. But they haven't been as lethal away as they have been at home, The Hoops have only won 4 times from 12 trips on the road, Everton will be looking to make the home advantage count and not to get a draw, to face QPR at home.

Out of favour Everton striker Nikica Jelavic could make his first start for the club since September.

Johnny Heitinga's involvement is in doubt because of his desire to seek a transfer away from Goodison.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto, on loan from Tottenham, could make his debut for Queens Park Rangers after receiving special permission from his parent club.

Harry Redknapp will rest several players including defenders Richard Dunne and Danny Simpson.
