Season Genl Info: The season premiered on CBS on June 26, 2013 and will conclude in September 18, 2013 the same year.It has been billed as the longest season to date, and is going to last for a total of 90 days. This season is also set to feature sixteen House Guests, tying it for the most HouseGuests to compete in a single season. Unlike the previous two seasons, all of the competing HouseGuests are new to the series.The premise of the series remained largely unchanged from previous editions of the series, in which a group of contestants, known as "HouseGuests," compete to win the series by voting each other off and being the last HouseGuest remaining. One HouseGuest, known as the Head of Household, must nominate two of their fellow HouseGuests for eviction. The winner of the Power of Veto can remove one of the nominees from the block, forcing the HoH to nominate another HouseGuest. The HouseGuests then vote to evict one of the nominees, and the HouseGuest with the most votes is evicted. When only two HouseGuests remained, the last seven evicted HouseGuests, known as the Jury of Seven, would decide which of them would win the $500,000 prize. About The Show: The new season was announced in a promotional video shown during a commercial break for season seven's second live show. Sharon Osbourne initially stated that she would not return for the season, but later said that she was staying with the show "for now." Osbourne confirmed that she would be leaving the show after a feud with NBC on August 6, 2012. It has been reported that producer Simon Cowell wants Carmen Electra to replace former judge Osbourne. On November 29, 2012, Nick Cannon officially signed on with the network to host Talent once again. On December 3, 2012, Howard Stern announced on his radio show that he would be returning for season eight. A promotional flyer from NBC about upcoming auditions only showed Stern and Cannon. On February 12, 2013, Howie Mandel announced on "Access Hollywood" that he will be returning for another season on the show. On February 20, 2013, it was announced that former Spice Girls member Melanie Brown (aka "Mel B") would replace Sharon Osbourne as the third judge. Entertainment Weekly also reported at the same time that NBC is looking at a possible fourth judge to be added. On March 3, 2013, it was announced that supermodel Heidi Klum will be joining the show as the new fourth judge......Acts then move on to a semifinal round, and even further rounds (such as a "Top 8" or a "Top 10", depending on the season) through a series of weekly shows, which trim the number of acts down each time based on a public vote. Series Genl Info: New episodes continue to air on FX, with reruns playing on Comedy Central, The CW, and WGN America—the first-ever cable-to-cable syndication deal for a sitcom. The show began as a short film idea written by Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton about a man telling his friend he has cancer, while the friend's only intent is on trying to borrow a cup of sugar. This was then developed into a pilot called It's Always Sunny on TV and was shot on a digital camcorder by Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, and Rob McElhenney.This pilot was shopped by the actors around various studios, their pitch being simply showing the DVD of the pilot to executives. After viewing the pilot, FX Network ordered the first season. Although it is often stated publicly that the pilot was shot for $200, the makers of the show have claimed that the cost was much lower because the only costs were videotapes.
