Will Buckley (ankle) could return but left-back Stephen Ward (foot) is out.....Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka will be without Kei Kamara for Saturday's Sky bet Championship clash with Brighton. The striker has damaged medial ligaments and is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks.
Goalkeeper Jason Steele will also miss out despite completing a three-match ban for his sending-off at Leeds on November 23 because of an ankle problem, and loan signing Shay Given is likely to retain his place in the starting line-up.
But striker Curtis Main returns to contention following a one-game absence following his red card at Derby on December 4, and full-back George Friend is working his way back from a knee problem which proved to be less serious than was first feared.
Brighton could be without goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak and captain Gordon Greer when they travel to Middlesbrough.
Kuszczak was replaced by Peter Brezovan after injuring a stomach muscle during the warm-up prior to last week's win over Leicester, while Adam El-Abd came on at centre-half for Greer when he hobbled off in the first half with a calf problem.
Left-back Stephen Ward is also a doubt with a foot knock while midfielder Andrea Orlandi (knee) and striker Leonardo Ulloa (foot) are still not ready to return.
But Will Buckley could return after an ankle problem while fellow winger Craig Conway plays the last match of his loan from Cardiff.
