Nottingham Forest striker Darius Henderson is suspended for the visit of QPR after receiving a straight red card in Saturday's draw with Birmingham. Centre-half Danny Collins who has been out with an ankle injury is close to making a return after two months out. QPR will be without Joey Barton as the midfielder serves a one match ban.Karl Henry could replace Barton whilst fellow midfielder Yossi Benayoun could make his first start after coming off the bench against Leicester....Nottingham Forest will be without the suspended Darius Henderson when QPR visit the City Ground on Boxing Day (7.30pm). Henderson was shown a straight red card late on in the goalless draw at Birmingham on Saturday following a tangle with Blues skipper Paul Robinson, meaning the burly striker will begin a three-match ban on Boxing Day.
Dan Harding came off at half-time at St Andrew's, replaced by Eric Lichaj, so it remains to be seen whether he will keep his place in the team for the evening kick-off against Harry Redknapp's men.
Lichaj, along with Nathaniel Chalobah, Gonzalo Jara Reyes, Jamie Paterson and Matt Derbyshire are options for Reds boss Billy Davies should he wish to make any changes to his starting line-up. Centre-half Danny Collins is nearing a return from the ankle injury that has kept him out for the past two months.
QPR, meanwhile, will be without Joey Barton when they head to Nottingham Forest.
The controversial midfielder was sent off towards the end of Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Leicester - the eighth red card of his career - and serves a one-match ban.
Karl Henry could replace Barton in the centre while Yossi Benayoun is pushing for a full debut after coming on as a second-half substitute against the Foxes.
Boss Harry Redknapp could make further changes following their first home defeat of the season but he is still without long-term casualties Alejandro Faurlin (cruciate) and Bobby Zamora (knee).

Head-to-head
QPR have never won at Nottingham Forest- this is their 30th visit in all competitions.
Both fixtures ended in draws when the teams were last in the same division, the Championship, in 2010-11.
Forest won this fixture 5-0 in January 2010, but two of the last three meetings at the City Ground have ended in draws.

Nottingham Forest
Forest have drawn four of their last six matches, including back-to-back goalless draws in their last two games - at home to Ipswich and away to Birmingham.
Forest have not won any of their last five matches played at the City Ground, drawing three and losing two of those games.
They have lost two of the 12 matches played in front of their own supporters this season.

QPR
Rangers lost their first home fixture of the season when they were beaten by Leicester on Saturday.
But they have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four matches, only conceding to Leicester on Saturday.
QPR's 2-0 win at Blackpool in their last away fixture ended a run of five away games without a win.
In 10 Championship away matches so far this season they have only twice scored more than one goal.
They have scored exactly one goal in six of their 10 Championship away matches so far this season. On three of those occasions it has been enough for a 1-0 victory.

Man City V Liverpool live Stream Premier League– Preview 26 Dec 2013

Manchester City remain without injured leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero and defenders Matija Nastasic, Pablo Zabaleta and Micah Richards for the Boxing Day visit of Liverpool. Stevan Jovetic missed the win at Fulham because of illness and remains a doubt. Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan is a doubt with a hamstring strain sustained during the weekend win over Cardiff.
Steven Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge, Jose Enrique and Sebastian Coates are all long-term absentees.
So Brendan Rodgers thinks it is Manchester City's title to lose? Well this fascinating fixture might just provide a little more evidence as to how true that might be and another pointer in where Liverpool can realistically be looking in 2014.
The Liverpool manager has said he isn't thinking about the title. It's a very sensible approach ahead of arguably their biggest test yet, as the two highest scorers in the league - with 93 goals between them already - go head-to-head. For all the debate about Manchester City's away form, the performances and results at home have been outstanding: eight wins out of eight and 35 goals scored in the process.
Liverpool will have closely monitored the way City hit Norwich for seven and Arsenal and Spurs for six. City have scored three goals or more in 10 of their last 12 games in all competitions.
Last season they had the best defensive record, but the 20 goals conceded will be an area of concern for Manuel Pellegrini, who has already used eight different centre-back pairings and changed his goalkeepers this season.
The City backline face the ultimate test in this one. The current figures associated with Luis Suarez are nothing short of remarkable. He's scored 36 goals in his last 34 games for Liverpool in all competitions and 29 in 26 Premier League matches in 2013. You would think he's on course to break the record of 31 goals in a 38-game Premier League season, jointly held by Alan Shearer and Cristiano Ronaldo.
With the current form of the Uruguayan, Liverpool have a fighting chance against anyone. I watched their two setbacks away from home this season at Arsenal and Hull when they were well short of the standards they've set this season. But perhaps, unlike previous seasons, they have responded in emphatic and consistent fashion.
There will be so much individual talent on the pitch you sense almost anything could happen. A fifth consecutive Liverpool win would be some statement of intent. If that does happen, you know who will be the centre of the headlines.

Head-to-head
Six of their last nine Premier League meetings have been draws, with City's two wins and Liverpool's solitary victory all coming by a 3-0 scoreline at home.

Manchester City
City are the only team in the Premier League yet to drop a point at home this season. They have also scored in each of their last 58 Premier League home games.
Their tally of 35 goals in their opening eight home games is the most in the top flight for 51 years since Tottenham did the same in 1962-63.
They have failed to score in their last two Boxing Day matches, drawing 0-0 with West Brom in 2011 and losing 1-0 to Sunderland last year.
Manuel Pellegrini's side have the best record in the division against top-half opposition, winning five of eight games and losing only at Chelsea.

Liverpool
The Reds have won their last four league matches, scoring 17 goals in doing so. They last won five consecutive league fixtures within a single season in April-May 2009.
However, they have only won one of their last five Premier League away games (D2, L2).
Liverpool have won 11 of the 12 games in which they have opened the scoring this season, drawing the other.
Their last Boxing Day win was in 2009 when they beat Wolves by 2-0.
Luis Suarez already has 10 goals this December - the most in a month by any player in Premier League history. He has 29 goals in 26 league appearances this calendar year.

West Ham midfielder Kevin Nolan returns for the Boxing Day visit of Arsenal after completing a three-match ban.Manager Sam Allardyce will continue to select James Tomkins despite the defender being charged with assaulting a police officer.Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will miss the game as he completes a two-match suspension. Laurent Koscielny could return, having missed the draw against Chelsea with a cut to his knee.
Arsenal were frustrated by Chelsea on Monday night, with Arsene Wenger feeling that only one side wanted a football match to break out whilst the other was happy with a stalemate.
That may be true, but it says something about Arsenal's lack of invention that they could still only muster one shot on target in the entire 90 minutes.
A draw with Chelsea is not a bad result, but anything other than a win at West Ham would be seen as proof positive that the Gunners are not yet ready to stay the course in a title race. It would be a fifth consecutive game without a victory and their autumnal momentum would well and truly have been lost.
West Ham are a bit of a puzzle to me. Every time I look at the league table they're down at the wrong end of it.
But every time I see them play in the flesh, they win; two victories at White Hart Lane and a thumping of Fulham at Upton Park.
I quite like their midfield, and Ravel Morrison will be a real star when the consistency that comes with experience begins to kick in.
Their need for a striker is blindingly obvious; Modibo Maiga has shown some recent improvement and Carlton Cole always puts in a shift, but neither is likely to get anywhere near double figures over a season.
A fit, in-form Andy Carroll is what they need, but who can say when, and if, that might happen.
West Ham's record against Arsenal is pretty dismal, six consecutive defeats, and their next two games against West Brom and Fulham offer far more juicy prospects of some much-needed points.

Head-to-head
Arsenal have won their last six games against West Ham in league and cup, and are unbeaten in the last 11 meetings (W9, D2).
That unbeaten run stretches back to the 2006-07 season, when the Hammers won both Premier League encounters 1-0 (at Upton Park in November 2006 and at the Emirates in April 2007).

West Ham United
The Hammers have won one of their last 10 league games (W1, D3, L6).
They have failed to score in nine of their 17 league games - the joint worst record in the top flight.
West Ham have won their last three Premier League games played on 26 December, scoring nine goals in the process.
They are unbeaten in their last two league games at Upton Park, keeping clean sheets in both matches.

Arsenal
The Gunners have claimed 16 points from their eight away league games, the joint-best record in the top flight.
Arsene Wenger's only defeat in a Premier League game on 26 December came in 1999 (a 3-2 loss away to Coventry).
This is Arsenal's 100th London derby away from home in the Premier League. The Gunners have won 44 out of the previous 99 games.
Theo Walcott has scored in his last three league appearances against West Ham. Olivier Giroud has three goals in two games against the Hammers, while Santi Cazorla has two in two.

Tottenham's new head coach Tim Sherwood must decide whether to name the same attacking side that beat Southampton. He remains without Aaron Lennon, Younes Kaboul, Paulinho, Andros Townsend and Jan Vertonghen, but Mousa Dembele should overcome a twisted ankle. West Brom's only reported injury doubt is striker Victor Anichebe, who has a groin problem. Goalkeeper Ben Foster is set to retain his place after returning from a foot injury against Hull.
Tottenham surprised a lot of people when they handed Tim Sherwood the job as head coach on a full-time basis on Monday night. To some, it was the length of his contract that raised the most eyebrows as it runs until the end of next season.
There will be a lot of fans delighted that they have appointed someone from within, but also plenty that will be concerned by his lack of managerial experience. He did his cause no harm at all with that excellent win over Southampton on Sunday.
The team he picked was a real crowd pleaser, with no recognised defensive midfielder, and his players certainly seemed to move the ball quicker and poured forward like Tottenham teams of old did under Harry Redknapp.
Emmanuel Adebayor has grasped his return from the cold with both hands, scoring three goals in two games, and fellow striker Roberto Soldado seemed to enjoy having some support up front at long last.
It must be said that the Andre Villas-Boas era at Tottenham was certainly not as bad as some have made out following his departure. He led them to their highest ever points tally in the Premier League last season - and losing Gareth Bale would hurt any team.
Steve Clarke can also feel like he was hard done by in the way that West Brom disposed of his services recently after he had secured West Brom eighth place - their best finish in the Premier League - in May.
They started this season well, and won at Old Trafford no less, but everything seemed to unravel after that controversial draw at Stamford Bridge in which Chelsea were awarded a very debatable penalty. They haven't won a game since.
Caretaker head coach Keith Downing is unlikely to be handed the reins like Sherwood has been at Spurs, but he will be desperate to help the Baggies pick up a rare win at White Hart Lane.

Head-to-head
Spurs are unbeaten in their last seven league games against West Brom (W4, D3).
The Baggies have only won two of 14 Premier League matches against Tottenham.
West Brom's last win at White Hart Lane was a 3-2 victory in November 1984. David Cross, Steve MacKenzie and Derek Statham scored the goals.

Tottenham
Tottenham are unbeaten in their last eight Premier League fixtures on Boxing Day (W6, D2). The last time they lost on 26 December was in 2003 when David Pleat was temporary boss following the sacking of Glenn Hoddle.
Jermain Defoe has scored six goals in 10 games on Boxing Day - only four players in Premier League history have scored more on this date (Robbie Fowler, Thierry Henry, Robbie Keane and Alan Shearer).
After seven clean sheets in their first 10 league matches of the season, Spurs have gone seven Premier League games without one.
Emmanuel Adebayor's goals against Southampton were the first a striker had scored for Tottenham in eight league games.
Tottenham have won six top-flight away games this season, more than any other side.
They are one point better off than they were after 17 games of last season.

West Brom
West Brom have not won in their last seven Premier League matches.
The Baggies have won only one of their last 10 away games (D4, L5) in the league, but that came at Old Trafford.
This is their eighth Premier League game on 26 December and it will see a seventh different manager in charge of the Baggies.
They are 11 points worst off than they were after 17 games of last season.

Norwich midfielder Jonny Howson missed the draw at Sunderland with a back injury and is a doubt to face Fulham. Russell Martin has overcome an ankle problem, while fit-again striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is pushing for a start. Fulham forward Dimitar Berbatov is an injury doubt as he continues to struggle with a groin strain.
It is in defence where manager Rene Meulensteen has his biggest problems, with both Brede Hangeland (back) and Philippe Senderos (abductor) ruled out.
There's no doubt this is a deliciously unpredictable Premier League season at the top of the table, and I doubt it's ever been more intriguing towards the less desirable end either. Norwich, for me, are one of this season's great mysteries. Have the Canaries ever in their history had a squad so full of genuine attacking quality? Van Wolfswinkel, Hooper, Elmander, Redmond, Becchio. On paper, it's a squad which should be wreaking havoc in the attacking third yet Norwich are averaging less than a goal a game.
That concerns the fans greatly, who long to see a less risk-averse team with the handbrake finally released. Facing a team in the bottom three is surely the ideal time for that.
Carrow Road is special for me - it's where I made my Match of the Day debut, nine years ago to the day. City failed to score then (losing 2-0 to Spurs), and have never actually scored a home Premier League goal on Boxing Day.
Fulham's Premier League longevity has never been based around a good away record, but right now they need to start picking up points regardless of the venue. A run of three points from a possible 27 suggests a malaise which will test Rene Meulensteen's credentials to the absolute limit.
The new manager's start has been undermined by injuries - especially defensively. The losses of Brede Hangeland and Phillipe Senderos for the Christmas mini-season will hit hard.
Dimitar Berbatov may return at Carrow Road, but his output of just three Premier League goals offers some insight into why Fulham will have taken their Christmas turkey in the bottom two.
Historically, mind you, this has proved a fruitful fixture for Fulham. Norwich haven't won this game in any competition since 1986.
This meeting will doubtless prove anxious, tight and edgy. Winning it may come down to which manager is bold enough to risk losing it.

Head-to-head
Fulham are unbeaten in their last 12 matches against Norwich in all competitions (W9, D3). They have scored 27 goals during this period and conceded just four.
Norwich have only lost three of 17 league games at Carrow Road (W6, D8, L3) this calendar year.
Fulham's joint-biggest win in Premier League history was 6-0 against Norwich in May 2005, a day that saw the Canaries relegated.

Norwich
Norwich are unbeaten in their last three league matches (W1, D2) - it's their longest run without defeat this season.
Chris Hughton's side have kept six clean sheets so far this season; only Everton, West Ham (both eight) and Tottenham (seven) have more.
This is the Canaries' fifth Premier League fixture on Boxing Day. They failed to score in any of the previous four (D1, L3).
Gary Hooper has scored four goals in his last seven matches, including three in his last three appearances at Carrow Road.

Fulham
It is just three points from a possible 27 for Fulham (W1, L8).
Fulham have only won one of their previous 11 Premier League matches played on 26 December (W1, D6, L4); a 2-0 win at home to Southampton in 2003.
Dimitar Berbatov has scored five goals and contributed five assists in six Premier League appearances on 26 December.
Berbatov is one of only five players in Premier League history to score a hat-trick on Boxing Day (Manchester United v Wigan in 2011).

Newcastle United are without suspended midfielder Cheick Tiote, who received his fifth booking of the season against Crystal Palace.Jonas Gutierrez is nursing a calf problem and will be assessed.Stoke midfielder Stephen Ireland is available again, having missed the win over parent club Aston Villa under the terms of his loan agreement.Defender Robert Huth will miss all of the Potters' festive fixtures as he recovers from a knee operation.
This is something of a Christmas treat for the Toon Army: a rare home game for them to enjoy on Boxing Day.
They certainly have been enjoying the football served up by Alan Pardew's side over the last couple of months. Since October, Newcastle have won six of their eight matches to soar up the table. Once concerned about being on the fringes of the relegation battle, talk is now of Europe - and not necessarily another crack at the Europa League. While others debate which of the Merseyside clubs might qualify for the Champions League, few consider Newcastle. And that's probably the way the Geordies like it. Pardew has done a magnificent job in remobilising his squad into an exciting, efficient unit. Once again his Frenchmen are to the fore, with the flair of Yohan Cabaye, the energy of Moussa Sissoko and the goals of Yoan Gouffran to name but three.
But it's not just a Gallic tale. Don't underestimate the industry of Cheick Tiote and Vernon Anita, the class of Fabricio Coloccini and goalkeeper Tim Krul.
With Arsenal visiting St James' on Sunday, the temptation will be to consider Stoke as easier opponents. That could be dangerous because, like Newcastle, the Potters have hit a rich seam of form with recent impressive victories over Aston Villa and Chelsea.
Mark Hughes insisted through the dark days of September and October that his team would get better and so it's proved.
Their four-game unbeaten run is their best for over a year. Charged with taking Stoke on to another level, the Welshman is currently on course to do just that. They're 10th in the table and under Tony Pulis they never finished in the top half.
Securing a rare win at Newcastle would strengthen their case considerably.

Head-to-head
Stoke have won just once at St James' Park in all competitions since 1976 - a 2-1 victory in 2010.
Newcastle have won three of their last four matches against Stoke, including a dramatic last-minute 2-1 victory at St James' Park last March.
Yohan Cabaye and Papiss Cisse have both scored three goals in their last three league appearances against Stoke, while Jon Walters has scored in four of his last five Premier League appearances against Newcastle.

Newcastle
They have lost just one of their last eight league matches (W6, D1, L1).
The Magpies have scored in 14 of their last 15 league games.
It will be a year to the day on Boxing Day that an English player last scored a league goal for Newcastle United (James Perch against Manchester United).
They have lost six of their last seven Premier League matches played on 26 December - although this is only their second home game in the last 12 seasons to be played on Boxing Day.
A win in this fixture would be their 200th victory at home in the Premier League.

Stoke
This is Mark Hughes' longest unbeaten run as a Premier League manager since March 2011, when he was in charge of Fulham.
The Potters have lost only one of their last 16 league matches in December and are unbeaten in their last 12 since losing 3-0 at Manchester City on 21 December 2011.
Like Newcastle, they have lost just one of their last eight league matches (W3, D4, L1).
This is the third time in six seasons in the Premier League that they have had 21 points after 17 matches. Their lowest tally was 20 points, in 2008-09.

Everton defender Leighton Baines could return on Boxing Day after a month out with a broken toe. Nikica Jelavic is available after missing the win at Swansea with a hamstring strain, while Steven Pienaar and Sylvain Distin should be fit.Sunderland have defensive issues, with Wes Brown starting a three-match ban and John O'Shea doubtful with a shoulder injury. Carlos Cuellar (hip) and keeper Keiren Westwood (shoulder) are still out.For many years Evertonians used to wonder what their side could achieve if they got off to a good start. Traditionally successful as the season wore on, they were left to agonise over those classic football fan statements: "What if?" and "If only".
Now, with just one defeat suffered and confidence sky high, it's not just Champions League qualification that could be beckoning but a title challenge itself.
At Swansea on Sunday, after their spectacular winner by Ross Barkley, you could certainly make out a "We're gonna win the league" chant.
And all this achieved in Roberto Martinez's first few months in charge.
It's a stunning inaugural campaign which, should they beat Sunderland on Boxing Day, will have already gathered him more points than he managed throughout last season with Wigan.
The visitors will arrive in desperate form and against a side they've only beaten once in 17 meetings.
Even in this most open and unpredictable of seasons its hard to mount a case for anything other than a home win.

Head-to-head
Sunderland's victory over Everton at the Stadium of Light in April ended a run of 16 Premier League games without a win in this fixture (D4, L12).
Everton have won their last six league matches at home against Sunderland and scored 20 goals in the process.
This fixture is the 11th Boxing Day fixture between the clubs and the third during the Premier League era. Everton won 5-0 in the only previous encounter played at Goodison Park on 26 December, with Don Hutchinson scoring twice.

Everton
Everton must avoid defeat against Sunderland and Southampton to go unbeaten at home in the league for a whole calendar year. They have only managed this feat on three occasions (1894, 1939, 1962).
Roberto Martinez's side have accrued 34 points so far during the 2013-14 campaign, two less than his Wigan team picked up throughout the whole of last season.
The Toffees have not lost in six Premier League fixtures on Boxing Day since a 4-0 defeat at Aston Villa in 2005 (W3, D3).
Romelu Lukaku scored three goals in two Premier League appearances against Sunderland last season while on loan at West Brom.

Sunderland
Sunderland are on a six-match winless streak (D3, L3), their worst run of form since an eight-game spell without a win at the start of the season.
The Black Cats have the league's 11th-best record against clubs in the top half (W2, D1, L6). Those wins came against Newcastle and Manchester City, their only victories this season.
Sunderland have picked up just three away points this season (D3, L5), the equal fewest along with Crystal Palace.
This is only the second time in 12 years that Sunderland have played an away fixture on Boxing Day.

Ashley Cole could be handed a rare recent start at left-back, while Michael Essien is available again after suspension.Swansea striker Michu is to undergo surgery on his ankle and will be out for six weeks.
Nathan Dyer, Garry Monk and Michel Vorm remain absent because of injury but Leon Britton has overcome a broken toe.
Jose Mourinho left the Emirates on Monday night with cries of 'Boring, Boring, Chelsea' ringing in his ears and I'm sure he won't have minded that one bit. His team produced a controlled, disciplined performance and, while Arsenal felt they were the only side trying to win the game, Chelsea never looked like losing.
There were some similarities to the stalemate against Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier in the season and there's something to be said for making sure you don't lose the big games on the road.
The upshot is that Chelsea are very handily placed at Christmas, just two points behind the leaders Liverpool in a tightly-packed title race.
If Monday's game was one Chelsea were determined not to lose, then this is one they'll be all out to win against last season's Capital One Cup winners, Swansea have only taken 38 points from 35 league matches played in this calendar year.
The Swans beat Chelsea in the semi-finals en route to Wembley last season, winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge when Michu and Danny Graham seized on two errors by Branislav Ivanovic.
Swansea are one of only four teams along with Newcastle, Tottenham and Aston Villa with more wins away than at home this season.
Winning this fixture looks like a tall order, though, against a side which hasn't lost at home in the league under Jose Mourinho, and which is unbeaten on Boxing Day since the Portuguese began his first spell at the club back in 2004.

Head-to-head
Swansea's only league victory at Stamford Bridge came in their first-ever meeting back in November 1925.
Swansea have won just two of the last 13 meetings in all competitions (W2, D5, L6).
There have been three red cards for Chelsea players in the last six meetings with Swansea in all competitions.

Chelsea
The 0-0 draw with Arsenal was only Chelsea's second clean sheet in their last 12 league games.
They have recovered a league-high 11 points from losing positions this season.
Chelsea took part in the highest scoring Premier League game on Boxing Day when they drew 4-4 with Aston Villa in 2007.
Frank Lampard has played an unrivalled 15 Premier League games on 26 December.

Swansea
They are three points worse off than at the same stage of last season.
Swansea have only won two of their last nine league matches.
They have benefited from five own goals this season. Apart from when Manchester United had 10 in 2009-10, no team has had more than six in one season.

Southampton quartet Kelvin Davis, Luke Shaw, Nathaniel Clyne and Dani Osvaldo could all be fit to play.
Jose Fonte and Maya Yoshida may feature after minor injuries, but Artur Boruc and Victor Wanyama are out.
There's a parody twitter account that is purportedly from an American fan in which the writer talks about the Premier League with references to the major sports in the United States.
So, teams are franchises, with names like London soccer cannons, Northwich yellow ducks and the North London soccer chickens, and although it is meant as a spoof it is sometimes uncannily close to reality. The controversial events of the last week at Cardiff City are so ridiculous that even someone with a creative mind for farce like the above American couldn't have invented them.
It will certainly be an interesting Boxing Day, following the news that Malky Mackay will stay as manager for "the foreseeable future". As at Anfield, the Cardiff boss will be cheered throughout the game, while the owner will receive a very different reception.
Some have been comparing Cardiff with the events at Southampton at the start of the year. Back in January, Southampton fans were surely wondering what direction their club was heading in after the departure of popular manager Nigel Adkins.
But the comparison ends there. The act was done and dusted in a decisive manner and almost a year later the Saints have made huge progress under Mauricio Pochettino.
England caps for Rickie Lambert , Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez have been the high points in a remarkable year for the Hampshire club.
Let's not forget that it has also been a fantastic year for Cardiff, winning the Championship title and gaining promotion to the Premier League for the first time.
Their obvious target this season was 17th and consolidation in the top division, in a way that teams like Southampton, Stoke and - dare one say it - Swansea have done.
However, the completely unrealistic expectations of the owner mean that 2013 is ending in bitterness, rancour and discord, and that is a real shame.

Head-to-head
Cardiff have won their last seven home matches with Southampton, each by a one-goal margin.
The away side has not won this fixture in the last 17 league attempts since Southampton's 5-3 win at Ninian Park on 27 December 1965.

Cardiff
Cardiff have taken seven points from the last 12 available at home.
The Bluebirds have gained five points from losing positions this season (W1, D2). Only Aston Villa (seven) in the bottom half of the table have more.
Malky Mackay's side have scored just five goals in their last nine Premier League games, and four of those have come in the second half.
Peter Whittingham has been involved in half of Cardiff's last 12 league goals, with two goals and four assists.

Southampton
Southampton are winless in their last six league matches. They are yet to endure a seven-game winless streak since they returned to the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have gone a league-high eight games without keeping a clean sheet, and conceded 17 goals in the process.
Southampton have won only one of their previous 12 Premier League games played on 26 December (W1, D6, L5) and scored just three goals in their last seven top-flight Boxing Day matches.
Adam Lallana has scored four goals in 17 league games this season, bettering his tally of three goals in 30 top-flight appearances last campaign.

Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke is having physiotherapy in his native Belgium to treat knee and hip injuries and will not face Crystal Palace.
Ron Vlaar (calf) remains a major doubt and Ashley Westwood is suspended, but Gabby Agbonlahor returns from a ban.
Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh serves a one-match suspension for amassing five bookings this season.
Midfielders Kagisho Dikgacoi and Stuart O'Keefe will miss a second successive match with muscular injuries.
Never mind the 12 days of Christmas, the 12 goals of Christmas still haunt Aston Villa.
At this stage last season, Villa went into their Boxing Day clash with Spurs at Villa Park after an 8-0 thrashing at Chelsea. They conceded another four without reply to Tottenham and then finished the year with a 3-0 loss at home to Wigan.
A year on, they now face Crystal Palace in the first of successive home games - and they really need to be looking to win them both. Defeat at Stoke last time out was their third in a row and they can ill-afford any more slip ups.
Villa currently have a six-point cushion between themselves and the danger zone but if they're not careful they could soon find themselves in a whole heap of trouble, especially when you bear in mind that they kick off 2014 with what is already looking like a pivotal fixture at lowly Sunderland.
The sooner Christian Benteke is fit and firing, the better; undoubtedly he's being missed at present. Villa have managed just one goal in their last three outings, although Gaby Agbonlahor should return against a Palace side who have the opportunity to climb out of the bottom three with a win.
The Eagles may have lost the last two but Tony Pulis has improved the organisation in the team in recent weeks. An obvious blow for Palace is the absence of in-form striker Marouane Chamakh, who is suspended.
Pulis described their performance against Newcastle last time out as the worst since he took over. For me, that makes them even more dangerous - he will not stand for another display like that.
Villa have won just one of their last 12 Boxing Day fixtures and this season have picked up only two wins on their own turf. Palace have managed one win and four goals on their travels. This is going to be tense.

Head-to-head
The away side has not won this fixture in the last 13 league and cup meetings since a 1-0 top-flight victory for Crystal Palace in September 1991.
The most recent fixture between the sides was an FA Cup fifth-round replay in February 2010 which Aston Villa won 3-1.

Aston Villa
Villa have only earned 45 points from their last 46 Premier League matches at Villa Park, losing half of those fixtures (W11, D12, L23).
They have failed to score in four of their last five Premier League home games. Villa's tally of six goals at home is the lowest in the division and they are the only side yet to score in the first half in front of their own fans.
Paul Lambert has won more away league games (eight) as manager of Aston Villa than he has at home (seven).
The Villans have won only one of their last 12 Boxing Day matches - a 4-0 home victory over Everton in 2005 (W1, D4, L7).
They have only led at half-time on two occasions, fewer than any other top-flight side bar Cardiff (none).

Crystal Palace
No team has picked up fewer away points than Crystal Palace this season (three, level with Sunderland).
They have only scored four goals in eight away matches.
Palace have followed up successive league wins with consecutive defeats.
According to Opta, they have the lowest average possession figure in the Premier League this season (40.3%). The team with the second lowest figure is Aston Villa (42.2%).
Barry Bannan made 83 league and cup appearances for Villa, scoring two goals, before joining Palace on transfer deadline day earlier this season.

Andrea Orlandi could return from a knee injury and goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is fit after a stomach muscle injury.

Head-to-head
The last three meetings between the teams have all ended in draws, including both matches between them last season. A 2-2 draw at The Valley was followed by a goalless draw on the South Coast in April.
Brighton have won on two of their last three visits to The Valley, including a 4-0 win there in 2010-11 when both teams were in League One.
Charlton's last home victory against Brighton was in a Division Two meeting in October 1991.

Charlton Athletic
Charlton, and Yeovil, have scored the least number of Championship goals this season, both finding the net on only 17 occasions. For both Yeovil and Charlton only seven of those goals have been scored at home
They have not won any of their last five matches. They previously went six without a win in September and October, which was their longest winless run of the season so far.
The Addicks have lost their last two matches played at the Valley without scoring a goal. They were beaten 1-0 by Ipswich before a 2-0 defeat by Derby County.
They have won only two of the 10 Championship matches they have played at The Valley this season. Leicester and Doncaster are the only visiting teams to have been beaten there.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton have lost just one of their last 10 matches played in the Championship, a 2-1 home defeat by current bottom club Barnsley.
They have only lost twice away from the Amex this season and are unbeaten in their last five matches away from home, winning three of their last four games on the road.
They have kept six clean sheets in their 10 matches away from home so far this season.

Hull manager Steve Bruce could field the same starting line-up for the fourth Premier League match in a row on Boxing Day.Robbie Brady is unlikely to overcome a groin problem in time for the game.
Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck is a fitness doubt after suffering a blow to his knee against West Ham at the weekend.
Michael Carrick and Robin van Persie are expected to miss out with respective Achilles and thigh injuries.
Hull City have the best home record in the bottom half of the Premier League this season. In fact, only Stoke plus the top five in the table have won more home points than The Tigers (only EVER a nickname, in my opinion).
Impressive stuff, but it does come with a caveat. Seven of the eight teams to have visited the KC Stadium this season are currently bottom-half teams themselves, with the toughest tests still to come for Steve Bruce's side.
They passed their first really big one superbly by beating Liverpool 3-1 at the start of the month, but that is Hull's only win in their last seven games - and they might just be facing Manchester United at the wrong time. United gave arguably their most accomplished performance of the season in dismissing West Ham on Saturday, and are showing signs of getting used to David Moyes - and he to the club.
A fifth successive win in all competitions would be the best run yet under the new manager.
What's curious about that is that it's being done without Robin van Persie playing or Wayne Rooney scoring! Rooney's gone four games without a goal but seems to be revelling in creating chances for others, and if he plays at the KC Stadium then Hull have a ghost of Christmas present and past to deal with.
In United's last visit - a day out of being four years ago exactly - Rooney scored and made the other two in a 3-1 win. Just for good measure he was also to blame in the build up to the penalty that Hull scored. Oh yes, he then got all the goals at Old Trafford when Hull were beaten 4-0 in the return trip a month later!
He's still one goal away from following Thierry Henry as only the second player to score 150 goals for a single Premier League club. Is Boxing Day the day?

Head-to-head
Manchester United have won their last seven league and cup games against Hull, including the four previous Premier League meetings.
Hull's last win against United was a 2-0 home victory in a Division Two match on 23 November 1974.

Hull City
The Tigers have conceded only three league goals at home - the best record in the top flight.
They have won one of their last seven league games (D3, L3).
Their only previous Premier League game on 26 December was a 5-1 defeat at Manchester City in 2008, when then-manager Phil Brown gave his half-time team talk on the pitch.

Manchester United
The Red Devils have won 16 of the last 17 games they have played on 26 December. The only exception is a 3-1 defeat at Middlesbrough in 2002.
Victory would give them five successive wins in league and cup for the first time under David Moyes. The last time they won five matches in a row was in October 2012.
The reigning champions are unbeaten in their last nine away games in league and cup (W5, D4). Their last defeat on the road was the 4-1 loss at Manchester City on 22 September.
