Team News:
Blackburn hope to have striker Leon Best available after he scored for the reserves earlier this week, Best is yet to make his debut after suffering from cruciate ligament damage in pre-season.
Fabio Nunes is available after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Peterborough are sweating on the fitness of midfielder Davide Petrucci (hamstring). Jack Payne who replaced him in midweek could come in again.
Striker Tyrone Barnett is available after recovering from a knee injury.
Head-to-head
A Jordan Rhodes hat-trick helped Blackburn to a 4-1 win over Peterborough at London Road in November, to give Henning Berg his first win in his short spell as Rovers boss.
But Peterborough lead Blackburn 2-1 in the league head-to-head standings, having won their only previous league visit to Ewood Park, 1-0 in February 1975.
On the only other occasion the two have clashed in the red rose county, Rovers claimed a 5-2 triumph in the fourth round of the League Cup in October 2009.
Blackburn Rovers
Michael Appleton's Blackburn are chasing a first win in five league games, having picked up two points out of 12, but are undefeated in four at home (W2, D2).
The FA Cup quarter-finalists have not scored since knocking out Arsenal, and are hunting a first goal in 336 minutes (five hours and 36 minutes) of Championship football, since Scott Dann's opener in the 1-1 draw at Brighton on 12 February.
Ewood Park has seen fewer Championship goals than any of the other 21 grounds; just 36 (19 for, 17 against).
Peterborough United
Rock-bottom Peterborough on 33 points from 33 games, are four points from safety, having lost twice as many league games as they have won (W10, L20).
Darren Ferguson's side could tumble to three successive league defeats - a run last endured in early December, which would also see them 'doubled' for a fourth time after failing to gain a home or away point against Nottingham Forest, Birmingham and Bristol City.
Posh are also in danger of failing to score in three successive league games for the first time this season.
