Borussia Dortmund look to move to the top of the table when the host newly promoted Eintracht Braunschweig

Eintracht Braunschweig will travel the Signal Iduna Park on Sunday afternoon to get their first taste of away football back in the Bundesliga. It's not a great place to get that experience.

Jurgen Klopp's men put on a show last week in their 4-0 victory over Augsburg. One man stood out more than the rest, and that was new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The speedy forward from Gabon scored a hat trick on his competitive debut for the club.
The biggest news heading into the match is that BVB are expecting to see the debut of summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian midfielder has been out for a few weeks after picking up an injury, but Klopp expects that he'll see the field against Braunschweig. Mkhitaryan was fantastic for Shakhtar Donetsk over the last few years, and he's expected to translate that right over to BVB.
Braunschweig conceded in the 82nd minute to drop all three points in their first Bundesliga season in nearly twenty years last weekend against Werder Bremen. Can they put together a solid enough performance to steal points against BVB? Defense is key. They must put together 90 minutes of fantastic defense to even have a shot.
Even the most diehard Braunschweig supporter doesn't go into Sunday's match against BVB expecting a victory. Die Borussen will be the heavy favorites at kickoff and should find themselves picking up all three points at the end of the day.

The last time the two teams met at Chelsea was just over four years ago, in August 2009, the Blues carving out a narrow 2-1 victory in a Premier League match.

The return of Mourinho to English football has created quite a buzz - and not just around Stamford Bridge.

He has wasted little time in reshaping a squad inherited from interim coach Rafa Benitez and will want to ensure that the struggles of recent years - which have left Chelsea sweating on their involvement in the UEFA Champions League - are put firmly to one side.

While nothing less than a charge towards the top flight crown will be accepted by the Blues, Hull City would be happy to end the campaign with a standing among English football's elite safely cemented.

The Tigers lasted two seasons the last time they graced this level, but will need no reminding how difficult it can be for sides stepping out of the Championship to find their feet at the top table.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard continued his return from an Achilles injury with a substitute run-out for England in their 3-2 friendly victory over Scotland on Wednesday and could come into consideration for a starting berth.

David Luiz and Juan Mata have been nursing knocks through pre-season, restricting their involvement, and Mourinho has regularly expressed that he will not be rushing either back into action.

Summer signings Marco van Ginkel and Andre Schurrle will be hoping to make their Premier League bows at some stage, but veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer will have to make do with a place on the bench as he looks to challenge Petr Cech for the number one spot.

New signings Schurrle and van Ginkel and returning loan stars Lukaku and De Bruyne only increase the attacking threat of a team that scored a club record 147 goals last season. Torres, Ba, Lampard, Mata, Moses - maybe Rooney to come? Breaking 147 may be possible after all.

For Hull it's an exciting start to their second top-flight adventure, but not a game Steve Bruce will be just glad to get out of the way. After all, he led Sunderland to a 3-0 win the last time he visited the Bridge as a boss.

Without necessarily 'parking the bus', it'll be a side that doesn't take too many risks in game one - with the top level nous of Tom Huddlestone in front of the defence an important addition this week.

Crystal Palace's eight year absence from the Premier League ends against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat. The human drama of athletic competition, this is Tottenham Hotspur, which means a heavy emphasis on the agony.
Tottenham have come up short of the Champions League in the last three seasons by a combined seven points. Not that you needed reminding, but seriously, only Spurs.
And nothing sums up Spurs like the way they have started their last two seasons -- zero points from their first two matches in 2011 and one point from their first two last year. Mixed in was rioting outside the ground. It's safe to say that the start of the season has not been kind to Tottenham.
This season doesn't figure to be much better, with Gareth Bale, Emmanuel Adebayor and Lewis Holtby certainly out and Jan Vertonghen, Sandro and Benoit Assou-Ekotto doubtful. It's a recipe for more Spurs sadness to start the season.
But Tottenham play Crystal Palace. Ah yes, the Eagles, here to turn Spurs' frown upside down.

This Sunday Ajax welcome a struggling Feyenoord to the Amsterdam ArenA in Der Klassieker and here’s hoping that the old adage holds true: ‘When these two clubs meet you can throw the form guide right out the window’. The Rotterdam based club have lost their first two matches of the 2013-2014 season by a combined total of 6 to 2. Whilst last season’s Eredivisie champions have won one and lost one.

Something that could help to equalize the sides are the injuries and suspensions that both sides suffered last weekend. Ajax have lost defender Ricardo van Rhijn to a red card suspension, as last week he was the last man back and interfered in a clear goal scoring opportunity.

They have also lost captain Siem de Jong to a collapsed lung that occurred sometime during the match against AZ. While the club cannot pinpoint when it occurred what we do know is after it was diagnosed de Jong went on to score a goal.

*An interesting side note from last weeks match, Ajax keeper Kenneth Vermeer was substituted at halftime due to “injury”. He looked tentative on crosses and had a poor first half in general. It must be pointed out though there has been no indication that he is anything but a lock for first choice keeper.

Feyenoord meanwhile lost first choice right back Daryl Janmaat and back-up Jordy van Deelen is suspended after being sent off last week against FC Twente. Also suspended after being sent off last weekend is captain and center back Stefan de Vrij.
