New loan signing Josh McEachran will also not feature - the Chelsea midfielder is on a specific training plan to improve his fitness. "We know we can win games - we have shown that since I came to the club.
"I say this even when we play Crystal Palace - a Premier League side. It's up to us, are we winning or not? We have the quality in our team to finish 90 minutes as a winner."
But Crystal Palace defender Dean Moxey wants a good run in the competition: "It's the FA Cup so it's a big thing.
"It will be tough at Wigan, so we have to get ready for that. Of course we fancy a run in the FA Cup......Uwe Rosler has confirmed Nick Powell will be on the bench when Wigan host Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
The on-loan Manchester United forward played through the pain barrier against Doncaster last weekend after picking up several knocks but will not be involved from the start against the Premier League strugglers at the DW Stadium.
New loan signing Josh McEachran will also not play with Latics boss Rosler instead putting him on a specific training plan to improve his fitness.

Defender Tyias Browning, borrowed from Everton, does not have permission to play while Rob Kiernan is cup-tied and the likes of Shaun Maloney (shoulder) are still absent.
Paddy McCarthy is expected to make the Palace squad. The defender was named on the bench for the third-round win at West Brom but will be hoping to figure against Latics after groin trouble.
Boss Tony Pulis is expected to make some changes but Jerome Thomas and Kagisho Dikgacoi are still suffering from calf problems and Jack Hunt (ankle) and Glenn Murray (knee) are out.
"The main thing is the league obviously, but then everyone wants an FA Cup winners' medal, don't they? It will be nice to have a run in it."
