Bournemouth will have goalkeeper Lee Camp available, having been ineligible for the third-round win over Burton.
Boss Eddie Howe could select the same line-up that drew 1-1 with Watford in the Championship on Saturday.
An injury to Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson means a defensive reshuffle for the Reds - Jon Flanagan or Martin Kelly could fill in.
Fellow defenders Daniel Agger (calf), Jose Enrique (knee) and Mamadou Sakho (hamstring) are all still absent.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers conceded youngsters may form part of his starting XI for the tie: "You will never know until you put young players in. It can be a good time to put them in as long as they are surrounded by other senior players.
"We are trying to maintain the effort in our work and it could be an opportunity for our young talented players."
And Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe praised his opposite number: "Brendan inspires me. I have known him for a while and have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to watch him work and to build a relationship with him.
"He is definitely one of my role models, someone I look up to. He is an innovator, a real thinker and gets his team to be brave and play brilliant football and deserves all the success he gets - I hope he goes on and does well for Liverpool long-term."

Liverpool have progressed on both occasions that these sides have met in the FA Cup, though both times they have required a replay at Anfield to do so.
These sides drew 1-1 at Bournemouth in 1927, before Liverpool won 4-1 at home in a replay. They then met again in 1968, when a goalless draw at Bournemouth brought about another 4-1 win for Liverpool at Anfield in a replay.

Bournemouth's best-ever run in the FA Cup saw them reach the quarter-finals in 1957, beating Wolves and Tottenham before losing to Manchester United.
Liverpool have won the FA Cup on seven occasions - most recently in 2006.
