Bournemouth V Birmingham at Goldsands Stadium Saturday 14th December 2013, kick-off 15:00 (GMT). Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie is likely to start after being substituted in the 2-1 win over Reading last Saturday because of tiredness.Nico Yennaris, Ian Harte, Josh McQuoid and Wes Thomas are all in contention.Birmingham will be without left-back Mitch Hancox (knee) and striker Lee Novak (leg) after both sustained injuries last weekend.
Tom Adeyemi (hamstring) is fit while defenders Will Packwood and Amari'i Bell have been recalled from loan....Bournemouth will hand Matt Ritchie another start as they look to make it back-to-back victories when they welcome Birmingham to the south coast.
Ritchie was substituted in the 2-1 win over Reading last Saturday having netted the game's winning goal and the Cherries confirmed he was withdrawn because of tiredness so the former Swindon winger looks set to continue in the starting XI against the Blues.
The likes of Nico Yennaris, Ian Harte, Josh McQuoid and Wes Thomas all featured in a 1-0 friendly win at QPR in midweek and will hope to have put themselves in Howe's plans.Goalkeeper Ryan Allsop will not be involved in the squad once more as he continues to recover from glandular fever, which has left him unable to train for the last six weeks.Birmingham, meanwhile, will be without Mitch Hancox and Lee Novak for their trip to the south coast to face Bournemouth.
Left-back Hancox has been ruled out until the new year having sustained a knee injury in last weekend's 2-2 draw at home to Middlesbrough, while striker Novak picked up a leg problem in the same game and misses Blues' first meeting with the Cherries in 18 years.
Defenders Will Packwood and Amari'i Bell have been recalled from loan spells at Bristol Rovers and Nuneaton respectively and will look to make the matchday squad.
Midfielder Tom Adeyemi has recovered from a slight hamstring complaint but David Murphy, Matt Green, Neal Eardley (all knee), Jonathan Spector (thigh) and Akwasi Asante (hamstring) remain sidelined.

HEAD TO HEAD
This is only the 13th meeting between the teams in all competitions. Bournemouth have won 6 of the previous meetings, Birmingham 2 and there have been 4 draws.
Bournemouth are unbeaten in the last 4 meetings between the teams. Birmingham's last success was in February 1991.
The clubs last met in League competition in 1994/95 when both were in Division Two. Their meeting at St Andrews finished goalless.

BOURNEMOUTH
Last Saturday Bournemouth became the first team this season to win at Reading.
Their 2-1 win at the Madejeski ended a run of 7 games without a win.
Only 1 of the 8 league fixtures hosted by Bournemouth this season has ended in a draw.
Victory for Bournemouth would see them secure back to back victories for the first time this season.

BIRMINGHAM CITY
Birmingham are currently enjoying their longest unbeaten run of the season - they have not lost any of their last 5 Championship matches
They are looking to record a 3rd consecutive away win, having won at Huddersfield and Barnsley in their last 2 matches away from St Andrews.
Only Derby, who have also won their last 2 away, can match Birmingham's winning run away from home in the Championship.
Birmingham's last 2 matches, both of which have been at home, have both ended in draws.
