Meanwhile, Captain Renard responds to the recent attempt on his life./ After a string of delinquent teens go missing, an old Wesen tale of an evil Santa who brings more than just a lump of coal may be the prime suspect. The investigation intensifies as Nick and Hank take things a little too far. Meanwhile, Monroe enlists Juliette to surprise Rosalee for their first Christmas together with unintended results. Elsewhere, Captain Renard’s tour of Europe brings him closer to tracking down Adalind.

Set in present-day Portland, Oregon,the series puts a new twist on the stories of the Brothers Grimm in which a homicide detective learns that he is a descendent of a group of hunters known as "Grimms", who fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. It was announced in January 2011 that NBC had ordered a series entitled Grimm. David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf co-wrote the pilot which was directed by Marc Buckland. Filming for the pilot began in March in Portland, Oregon. It was announced in May 2011 that NBC had picked up the pilot to series. Greenwalt and Kouf serve as executive producers for the series alongside Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner."Grimm" is a new drama series inspired by the classic Grimm's Fairy Tales. Portland homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) discovers he is descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as "Grimms", charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world.
