Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has a thigh problem and will not be risked against Crystal Palace.Manager Jose Mourinho says Cesar Azpilicueta will again start at left-back in preference to Ashley Cole, who made his first appearance for 39 days against Steaua Bucharest in midweek.Crystal Palace's ever-present defender Dean Moxey is doubtful with a hamstring injury suffered against Cardiff.
Winger Yannick Bolasie is available following suspension.
Chelsea can't afford to lose. Crystal Palace have nothing to lose. Jose Mourinho badly needs the win. A victory for Tony Pulis would be an unexpected surprise.
Mourinho's team hasn't reached the peaks of his last spell, that's for sure. But he's made it clear that this isn't his team yet. He's inherited some players he would rather get out of the club. He's right to maintain that they're very much in the title race, through to the Champions League knock out stages and the Capital One Cup quarter-final against Sunderland on Tuesday. But he'd be wrong to ignore the misgivings shared by supporters at the team's weaknesses.
Defensive blunders cost them dearly at Stoke and very nearly at Sunderland too. It's interesting that Petr Cech was rested for the midweek Champions League game. His form has dipped.
Mourinho has lost six of his 24 games this season. It took his predecessor Rafa Benitez 33 games to lose that many. One man is loved. One man was detested. But patience with Jose will be tested to the limit if they lose against the Eagles for the first time in the Premier League.
It's 31 years since Palace last won at the Bridge. Tight Fit were at Number One with The Lion Sleeps Tonight and my Elmlea Primary School friend Kevin Mabbutt scored in a 2-1 victory.
No-one expects a repeat. But then no-one quite expected the sort of impact Tony Pulis has had on his new club. Three wins in four games have followed the announcement that he was to be the next Eagles boss.
He's reinforced good work already done by caretaker Keith Millen in tightening the defence. They've kept four clean sheets in their last five games.
Pulis has his players doing the basics with more success than they were. He's instilled more belief in the dressing room.
It will still be an enormous job for him to keep the club up. But they have a genuine chance now - more of a chance than they do in this game. Chelsea's extra quality will see them home, surely.

Head-to-head
Crystal Palace have only taken two points from the eight previous Premier League meetings and they are winless in 11 attempts in the league since a 2-1 home victory in August 1990.
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 11 league and cup games against Palace at Stamford Bridge. Their only league win at Chelsea in 16 attempts came in March 1982 in the old Second Division.

Chelsea
Thirty points from 15 games represents Jose Mourinho's worst return at a leading European club. He last fared worse in 2001-02 with Uniao de Leiria (24 points from 15 games).
Chelsea have won 11 points from losing positions this season, four more than any other side.
They have trailed in five of their last six league games, and three of the last four at home.
The Blues have gone 16 Premier League games without defeat at Stamford Bridge, where they remain unbeaten in all 67 league matches under Mourinho (W52, D15).
Chelsea have only kept one clean sheet in their last 10 league games and have conceded three goals in consecutive league fixtures for the first time since October 1999.

Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have earned nine points from the last 12 available in the Premier League (W3 L1), seven more than reigning champions Manchester United.
The Eagles have conceded only one goal in their last five league games.
However, they have the division's worst goalscoring record, with 10 goals in 15 matches.
Marouane Chamakh has scored in successive Premier League appearances for the first time since November 2010. He has never scored in three consecutive league appearances in his career.
Palace have lost all 10 matches in which they trailed this season.
