Watford boss Gianfranco Zola will be hoping his side can shake off last season's play-off final disappointment.
Zola has been busy strengthening his squad following their Wembley defeat to Crystal Palace as he looks to mount another promotion challenge.
A number of last season's loanees from Granada and Udinese, including Joel Ekstrand, Ikechi Anya, Cristian Battocchio and Daniel Pudil, have all agreed to a permanent switch.
The Hornets have also brought in some new faces from the Serie A side. Defender Gabriele Angella, full-back Marco Davide Faraoni, forward Diego Fabbrini and Paraguayan striker Javier Acuna could all make their debuts following summer moves.
