Hibernian play their first match since the departure of manager Pat Fenlon with a visit to Motherwell on Sunday. Assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl will take charge of Hibs at Fir Park and is without suspended captain James McPake.
Striker Paul Heffernan returns after being ineligible for the midweek cup defeat by Hearts while full-back Alan Maybury may return from a thigh injury.
Motherwell keeper Lee Hollis remains on the sidelines so Gunnar Nielsen will continue in goal.
James McFadden could make his comeback from a hamstring injury after being left on the bench during Wednesday night's League Cup defeat by Aberdeen.
Hibs are without Sam Stanton, Tim Clancy, Michael Nelson and Alex Harris.
Motherwell manager Stuart McCall: "He [James McFadden] was coming on if we'd got to extra-time [against Aberdeen].
"The risk was the fact we put Lionel [Ainsworth] on at half-time and Lionel was in the same boat as James. They had been out for two or three weeks, three and a bit weeks for Faddy.
"If you put him on with 15-20 minutes to go and it goes to extra-time then you're looking at a full half.
"Whatever competition it's in, it's about winning.

"That's what spurs me on and I'm sure it's the same with the players as well as the fans and the staff.
"We move on to Sunday's game now and we want to get back to winning ways and get climbing that table again."
Hibernian goalkeeper Ben Williams: "It's important we try to focus on Motherwell now because each and every player is now playing for their future, depending on which manager comes in.
"With Jimmy in charge, there is continuity there and he's a great coach.
"If we can get a positive result perhaps we can make the best out of this situation."
