West Bromwich Albion prepare to entertain Swansea City at The Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon, looking to continue an impressive record. The Baggies are clearly on top, having won 9 and lost only 3 of the 15 games.

The most recent encounter between these two sides at The Hawthorns was less than a year ago, in March 2013, the Baggies carving out a narrow 2-1 victory in a Premier League match.

The Baggies are yet to score in the league this season, falling to a 1-0 opening day defeat and a 0-0 draw last weekend.

They currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, but will be hoping their 3-0 Capital One Cup victory over Newport County midweek will inspire them to victory.

Swansea have only managed to record a single goal in two games so far this season, but will be encouraged by their recent European exploits.

The Swans beat Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti 6-3 on aggregate, despite losing the away leg 2-1 on Thursday night, proving that league goals shouldn't be too far away.

Whilst the Welsh side may be propping up the rest of the Premier League table, last season's performances won't be forgotten and West Brom could be a good place for them to earn their first points of the season.

Swansea have had another busy week in Europe and that makes this difficult to call. I'm going for another draw because the players won't want to go into a two-week break on the back of a defeat. Nobody wants to lose this weekend and that can be said for a lot of teams and that's why I'm tipping so many draws this week.

Nicolas Anelka is available for West Brom again after missing their last two games due to personal reasons.

The Frenchman threatened to quit the game after the death of his agent, but was talked out of it by manager Steve Clarke.

Ben Foster (ankle) and Zoltan Gera (knee) are the only long-term injury worries for Clarke, but George Thorne (knee) and Matej Vydra (hamstring) are also unavailable for Sunday.

Steven Reid (knock) will also miss out, but Billy Jones and Claudio Yacob (both knocks) may be back after both played against Newport on Tuesday night.

Head-to-head

West Brom and Swansea have met 31 times in all competitions.

Swansea have registered 13 wins compared to West Brom's 11.

The Baggies won last season's home fixture 2-1 which avenged a 2-1 reverse the previous year at a snowy Hawthorns.

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom, along with Newcastle, are still to score a Premier League goal after two matches.

The Baggies' last home win (2-1) in the Premier League was 2-1against Swansea on 9 March 2013.

Since then, they have won just one of their last 11 league games (W1 D4 L6).
