The wheels are staring to fall off for FC Groningen, the last 2 games saw them drop points to the promoted teams, SC Cambuur (1-4 ) and Go Ahead Eagles (3-3).
Erwin van der Looi’s squad will be without Kristian Adorjan and Timo Letschert due to picking up red cards at Deventer. Lorenzo Burnet is also sidelined for disciplinary proceedings, and injuries keep Henk Bos (knee), Nick Baker (knee), Michael de Leeuw (ankle) out.
Gronigngen may need to risk playing Genero Zeefuik (who equalised against Go Ahead) who is not match fit..
The only real positive for Groningen is that Ajax FC have some changes forced on them too, and may not be at full strength.

With the Transfer window soon closing, Ajax FC worst fears have been realised, Christian Eriksen has gone to Spurs for 13.5 million Euro, and Toby Alderweireld is almost certainly going to be snapped up by Atletico Madrid.
Coach Frank de Boer wanted both players to stay, he as he has always indicated, he would never step in the way of a player’s ambition.
Whilst this is great news for the players involved, losing such pivotal players is a body blow to a club that already has its captain Siem de Jong out with a collapsed lung. Joël Veltman (knee), Daley Blind (groin) are also a way off making the starting lineup.
Summer signing Mike van der Hoorn form FC Utrecht will most likely fill Alderweireld’s vacant position, but Lerin Duarte of Heracles Almelo is being touted as a likely replacement for Eriksen. The 23year old has played at under21, and the Dutch National team.
