Ipswich Town pack their bags to visit Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon, hoping to improve upon an average previous return from this fixture. Of the 32 games played, Tractor Boys have recorded 10 wins, and Queens Park Rangers have come away with 14 victories.

The previous match played between the two at Loftus Road was within the last three years, in February 2011, with Queens Park Rangers running out comfortable 2-0 winners in a Championship match.

Armand Traore's long-standing fitness issues kept him out again on Saturday so Yun Suk-Young is set to continue at left-back.

Former West Ham midfielder Gary O'Neil could make his Rangers debut having been on the bench against the Terriers.

Anthony Wordsworth is fully fit and in contention for Ipswich, but Cole Skuse and Dean Gerken will be assessed.

Wordsworth is yet to feature this season due to a troublesome calf complaint but he has been passed fit for the clash at Loftus Road and will hope to work his way into manager Mick McCarthy's matchday 18.

Fellow midfielder Skuse sustained a hip problem in training this week but is expected to be okay, while back-up goalkeeper Gerken was injured in a training ground collision with striker Frank Nouble.

Head-to-head

Queens Park Rangers did the league double over Ipswich when they were last in the same division in 2010/11, with a 3-0 win at Portman Road, and 2-0 triumph at Loftus Road.

The Suffolk club are looking for a fifth win from eight Championship visits to the west London club.

It's 16 years since Rangers last failed to score in a home league game against the Tractor Boys.

Queens Park Rangers

A 2-1 home win over Sheffield Wednesday and 1-1 away draw against Huddersfield, has already given Queens Park Rangers their best start to a league season since the promotion winning campaign of 2010/11, when they remained unbeaten for the first 19.

All their league goals this term have been scored in the seven minutes before half-time.

The Hoops could win successive home league games for the first time since May 2012, and if so they will have equalled their total number of home victories in the Premier League last season.

If selected, former Fulham forward Andy Johnson will be making his 300th career league start.

Ipswich Town

The Tractor Boys effectively got their season up and running with last Saturday's 3-0 home win over Millwall, and are now looking for their first back-to-back victories since the end of March.

Mick McCarthy's charges have only registered one away win this calendar year: 1-0 at Derby on 6 April.

If he plays, goalkeeper Scott Loach will be making his 200th career league appearance.
