Watch the UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2 weigh-ins streaming live on MMAWeekly.com, Friday at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT. The fighters are expected to step on the scales shortly after 7 p.m. ET, making the title fight rematch between champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva official.
Check out a preview of the UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" main event bout set for later on this evening (Sat., May 25, 2013) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, pitting Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva for the heavyweight title.
The last time Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva met inside the Octagon, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) reportedly lost out on sponsorship money from Bud Light thanks to the logo, which covers the entire center of the cage, being so covered in blood that it wasn't visible to viewers at home.
Okay, that first part isn't true, but the second most definitely is, and "Bigfoot" undoubtedly remembers the beating he suffered at the hands of his opponent later on this evening (Sat., May 25, 2013) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the main event of UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2."
In short, it was brutal.
Now, though, the Brazilian is coming off a crushing knockout victory of Alistair Overeem, one the powers that be deemed impressive enough to completely forget about that first fight against Velasquez. Really, there may have never been a more definitive finish to a fight that actually saw the competitors rematch this shortly after.
What's more, the heavyweight title is on the line.
Realistically, Cain should win and so should Junior dos Santos in the co-main event of the evening to set up a third bout between the two in what the UFC is likely hoping will become a classic series of matches fans will remember for some time to come.
