Tottenham's injury crisis shows no sign of abating and Tim Sherwood is still without a host of first-team regulars.Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul are not yet ready to return, while Erik Lamela, Sandro, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lewis Holtby and Paulinho are all absent.
Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has a number of his squad carrying minor injuries and requiring fitness tests ahead of this match.
Cameron Jerome could return after missing the FA Cup win over West Brom.
Much has changed for both these clubs since the opening weekend of the season when they met at Selhurst Park, with Tottenham recording a 1-0 victory thanks to a penalty from debutant Roberto Soldado.
The main difference is that both have different managers from five months ago, with Tony Pulis now at Palace and Tim Sherwood taking charge at White Hart Lane.
The new Tottenham boss has had an excellent unbeaten start in the Premier League, with 10 points from his four games in charge, including a 2-1 win at Manchester United on New Year's Day.
Spurs have scored nine goals in those four league games, although they have gone out of both domestic cup competitions since the departure of Andre Villas-Boas.
Crystal Palace have scored just 13 Premier League goals in total this season, but six of those have come in their last seven matches and significantly they have tightened up at the back since the arrival of Pulis.
So will Crystal Palace come to White Hart Lane and, in the words of Jose Mourinho, "park the bus" in front of goal?
Certainly, Tottenham may have the majority of possession this weekend, and if they wanted a rehearsal for how to break a team down, Spurs got it in their last home match.
Stoke proved to be obdurate opposition a fortnight ago when I commentated at the Lane for Match of the Day. Tottenham eventually recorded a 3-0 victory but had to rely on a penalty from Soldado to break the deadlock.

Head-to-head
Tottenham's win on the opening day of the season was only their third victory over Palace in nine Premier League encounters.
Palace have never lost against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the Premier League (W1, D3).
Both teams finished last season on 72 points and finished fifth in their respective leagues. Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League after 38 matches, while Palace were fifth in the Championship following their 46 games.
In 36 matches against Tottenham, Palace have won just seven times.

Tottenham
Spurs have picked up 15 points from 10 matches at home this season, scoring just 11 goals in those games.
They have won three more league matches away than they have at White Hart Lane this campaign.
After seven clean sheets in their opening 10 league matches of the season they have kept just one in their subsequent 10.
They have lost just one of their last seven league matches.
Aaron Lennon, Andros Townsend, Lewis Holtby and Gylfi Sigurdsson have yet to provide an assist in the Premier League this season.

Crystal Palace
They have won just one of their last five league matches.
Palace have taken 10 points from their eight league matches under Tony Pulis (W3, D1, L4).
After conceding 21 goals in their opening 10 matches of the season and keeping no clean sheets, they have let in just eight goals in their last 10 and have kept five clean sheets.
Mile Jedinak has made more interceptions (67) than any other Premier League player this season.
In Premier League history, only five teams have scored fewer than Palace's 13 goals through their first 20 games of the season.
