Reading's Danny Guthrie is set to return from suspension after missing last weekend's 1-0 win at Huddersfield.Midfielder Chris Baird (ankle) will also be in contention but the Royals are still without defenders Wayne Bridge and Sean Morrison (both knee). Wigan's new boss Uwe Rosler is set to make several changes for their trip to the Madejski Stadium.
Striker Grant Holt (knee) is still sidelined, while Callum McManaman is likely to return to the squad.....Danny Guthrie returns to the Reading squad for Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Wigan at the Madejski Stadium.
Guthrie missed last weekend's 1-0 win at Huddersfield through suspension after collecting five yellow cards this season.
Fellow midfielder Chris Baird will also be in contention if he can prove his fitness following a sprained ankle.
But the Royals, who will kick off in fifth spot, are still without defenders Wayne Bridge and Sean Morrison (both knee), midfielders Jem Karacan (cruciate) and Mikele Leigertwood (ankle) and striker Jason Roberts (hip).
Wigan boss Uwe Rosler, meanwhile, has vowed to shuffle his pack again, jokingly suggesting he will bring in as many as eight new faces to the starting line-up.
A Latics XI featuring five changes were beating Sheffield Wednesday in midweek until persistent downpours forced the match to be abandoned at Hillsborough, with the likes of Grant Holt, Ivan Ramis and Emmerson Boyce not even in the matchday 18.
Striker Holt, via his Twitter account, assured fans he was being careful with a knee injury from earlier in the season while Callum McManaman, who was so impressive against Bolton last Sunday, is another likely to return with Rosler insisting he has specific plans in mind for the Madejski Stadium clash.
Goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi (knee) was on the bench in Sheffield and is nearing a return to full fitness, giving Rosler a quandary over whether to pick him ahead of Scott Carson, while Gary Caldwell (hip) played for the development squad on Monday but Shaun Maloney (shoulder) and Juan Carlos Garcia (ankle)

Head To Head
The teams have met on 38 previous occasions, all of them in League competition. Reading have won 14, one fewer than Wigan's 15 wins, and there have been nine draws.
Wigan scored three goals in both matches against Reading last season, when both teams were in the Premier League. The Latics won 3-0 at Reading in February after a 3-2 win at the DW Stadium in November 2012.
Jordi Gomez scored a hat trick in Wigan's 3-2 win at the DW Stadium last season.
The last six meetings between the teams were all in the Premier League - they last met at Championship level in 2004-05, when they drew 1-1.

Reading
Reading lost their unbeaten home record a fortnight ago. They were beaten 2-1 by Bournemouth, bringing an end to their run of nine home matches unbeaten since the start of the season.
Reading have scored in nine of their 10 home matches so far this season - the only team to keep a clean sheet at Reading were Brighton, who left with a 0-0 draw.
Reading have scored exactly one goal in each of their last four home matches.

Wigan Athletic
Wigan's 3-2 win over Bolton last Saturday ended a run of six consecutive defeats in all competitions. It was Uwe Rosler's first win in his second match in charge of Wigan.
Wigan have won just two away games in the Championship, at Barnsley on the opening day and at Yeovil. They have lost 10 of their 14 away matches in all competitions.
Wigan have scored in only four of their 14 away matches played in all competitions.
