Millwall could welcome back Richard Chaplow and Scott McDonald for Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with QPR at The Den.Time was a clash between Millwall and QPR would have the respective goalkeepers very much front and centre of thoughts prior to kick off.

In the mid-1990s Mick McCarthy’s Lions developed a reputation as a team to avoid in cup competitions, and not only because your supporters were likely to have their teeth knocked down the back of their throat at the tube station afterwards. Arsenal and Chelsea both faced knock-out football humiliation at the hands of the Lions and QPR could easily have gone the same way with a League Cup tie in 1993/94, and an FA Cup fifth round clash at Loftus Road a season later.

Midfielder Chaplow (groin) and striker McDonald (knee) both missed the 5-2 defeat at Bournemouth before the international break but have since returned to training.

Alan Dunne is suspended after his second red card of the season at Dean Court so Paul Connolly is set to deputise at right-back again, while centre-half Mark Beevers remains sidelined by a knee injury.

The match sees Lions boss Steve Lomas come up against his old manager at West Ham, Harry Redknapp, for the first time.

QPR, meanwhile, will be without Tom Carroll.

The on-loan Tottenham midfielder suffered an ankle injury playing for England Under-21s earlier this week and has returned to his parent club for treatment.

Winger Matt Phillips could return after missing the last two matches with an arm injury.

But Redknapp is still without goalkeeper Julio Cesar (finger), defender Nedum Onouha (hamstring) and strikers Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson (both knee).
