The Light Blues claimed a 4-0 win against East Fife at New Bayview on Saturday to maintain their 100 per cent league record so far.
But they we forced to wait until the second half, when an own goal from Gary Thom set the ball rolling before Daly bagged a hat-trick.
The previous week saw Rangers fall two goals behind in the opening eight minutes before fighting back to secure a 4-3 win at Brechin City.
Ally McCoist admits he has been left baffled by the Scottish Professional Football League's decision to hold the Ramsdens Cup final between Rangers and Raith Rovers at Easter Road. The competition is contested by Scottish football's lower league sides but the Light Blues' presence in the last two this year meant a larger than usual venue was required to accommodate the club's support.
With Hampden unavailable due to preparations for the Commonwealth Games, McCoist says he would have preferred 60,000-capacity Celtic Park to be given the nod ahead of the home of Hibernian, which holds 20,000.
And, if determined to see the April 6 clash take place in Edinburgh, the Gers boss believes league chiefs should have given administration-hit Hearts a cash boost by selecting Tynecastle as the cup final venue.
Asked for his thoughts on the decision, he said: "It baffles me to be honest with you.
"If I'm the managing director of the sponsors, I would want it at the biggest venue.
Reflecting on the victory in Methil, Daly said: "The manager just told us he wanted more at half time.
"So it's up to us to make sure we come out and start games better than we have being doing.

"But we didn't concede in the first half when we weren't at our best and give them something to hang on to."
Daly netted his second hat-trick of the season in a blistering 15-minute spell to ensure what was a comfortable win in the end.
The forward said: "It was great deliveries for my goals and I was just happy to be there to put them away.
"In the first half, East Fife deserve credit because they didn't give us a lot of space and closed us down, but thankfully in the second half we managed to get a few goals and go on to win the game.
"We knew ourselves our first-half performance wasn't up to the standards we had set ourselves.
Jon Daly admits Rangers must get out of the traps quicker in future if they are to continue their impressive start to the Scottish League One campaign.
The Light Blues have no fresh injury concerns for the visit of the Diamonds, although Dean Shiels, Ross Perry and Chris Hegarty remain on the sidelines.
