Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is weighing up whether to hand Paul Taylor a starting role in Friday night's televised clash at home to Barnsley.
The forward was recalled early from his month-long loan spell at former club Peterborough this week and could be thrown straight in as Town aim to improve upon a run of three draws in four winless matches.
McCarthy, who continues to be heavily linked to the Republic of Ireland vacancy, is not expected to have any other injury or suspension concerns.
Goalkeeper Dean Gerken and striker Daryl Murphy both shrugged off injuries to start last weekend's 1-1 draw at Bolton.
Barnsley winger Paddy McCourt is doubtful for the clash.
The Irishman sustained a gluteal injury in last week's derby draw with Sheffield Wednesday and could miss out, so Kelvin Etuhu is expected to make his first start since the end of September.
Manager David Flitcroft has no other new injury or suspension worries, but Luke Steele (back) and defender Peter Ramage (thigh) remain sidelined and Lewin Nyatanga is building up his match fitness following a long-term knee problem.

Jack Butland, on loan from Stoke, will continue in goal, while defender Bobby Hassell and midfielders Tomasz Cywka, Stephen Dawson and Jim O'Brien are all pushing for recalls.
Ipswich striker Paul Taylor has rejoined former club Peterborough on loan in a bid to get some vital game time under his belt.Taylor, who joined Town from Posh for an undisclosed fee in August 2012, returns to London Road on a deal until November 2, although Ipswich do boast an option to recall him after 28 days.
Taylor made his return to first-team action this season after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a foot injury, although he has started just one Capital One Cup game and been used primarily from the bench by Town manager Mick McCarthy.
The loan will enable the Liverpool-born striker to get further first-team action under his belt.
