The teams meet in the first leg at Mill Town on Tuesday night (19:15 BST), with the second leg at Suffolk Road on Friday evening (19:45).
"We have shown in the past that we are able to compete with Premiership sides but we'll need a wee bit of luck too.
"We'll play in our own style and we'll be out there fighting hard," said Gray.
"If anything, we have overachieved but we'll give it our best and hopefully it will be good enough over the two legs," he added.
Warrenpoint sealed second place in Championship One and a place in the play-off with a 2-0 win over Limavady United on Saturday.
Gray says his side face "a massive challenge against a Donegal Celtic side full of experienced Premiership players".

"The Newry and Mourne area is not represented at senior level at all, so to have a Premiership team from this area would be very important for the footballing community. The area is too big not to have a team of top flight standard.
"Ballinamallard came up from the Championship and did very well, but if we got there we would just be happy to retain Premiership status."
Donegal Celtic boss Pat McAllister says he has done his homework on their opponents and "it is now up to the players to go out there and produce to keep us in the Premiership".
"The mood in the camp is really good, we have players coming back and we're looking forward to the games," explained McAllister.
"They will be very hard working and they break with pace, so the pressure will be on us as the Premiership team, as everyone expects us to go through.
"They can just turn up and play so our attitude and commitment has to be 100% as we are playing a team with nothing to lose who will throw everything at us."
DC will be without Peter McCann, who is serving a suspension.
