Leeds are hopeful midfielder Paul Green will recover from the ankle injury which stopped him from featuring in the FA Cup defeat against Manchester City. Sam Byram suffered a cut lip during Sunday's 4-0 defeat, but manager Neil Warnock has no other injury concerns. Paul Ince takes charge of his first match as Blackpool boss and is likely to recall son Tom who was a substitute for the weekend defeat at Ipswich. Defender Bob Harris is expected to miss out because of a toe injury.

Head-to-head
This is the 40th league match between Leeds and Blackpool; each have won 14 of the previous 39.
Blackpool staged a late fightback to beat Leeds 2-1 at Bloomfield Road in August, with goals from Nouha Dicko and Matt Phillips. It took the Seasiders' winning run against Leeds to three games.
It's 43 years since Leeds last beat Blackpool, with a 3-1 top-flight triumph at Elland Road, with goals from y, Jack Charlton and Johnny Giles.

Leeds United
Leeds United were thumped 4-0 at Premiership Champions City on Sunday as they crashed out of the FA Cup. On Wednesday they return home to face Blackpool 8 points off the playoffs so there is still plenty to play for.
Warnock's side have lost 2 of their last 3 Championship matches and have 1 win in 5. All of a sudden they are playing catchup and if this form continues they will miss the playoffs.
At home their loss to Cardiff (0-1) broke a 6 game winning run. The away form is poor meaning there's a lot of pressure to win at Elland Road and that's once again the case on Wednesday night.
Neil Warnock begins his second year in charge at Elland Road looking for a first win in four league games.
Mid-table Leeds have lost more Championship matches than they've won this season (W12, L13), and have been slipping down the table from eighth on New Years' Day.
If selected, David Norris will be making his 400th career league appearance.

Blackpool
Blackpool's Paul Ince starts his sixth managerial appointment, after spells at Macclesfield, Milton Keynes (twice), Blackburn and Notts County, and is looking to kick-off on a winning note for only the second time.
The Seasiders have slipped out of the top-half of the table, with just two wins from 10 league matches.
They have allowed opponents to open the scoring in 22 of their 32 Championship games, but have recovered 20 points from losing positions (W4, D8).
Blackpool lost narrowly at Ipswich (1-0) on Saturday to leave them in 14th place. A win on Wednesday will see them leap frog Leeds and keep their slim playoff aspirations alive.
Ince is the new man in charge and this isn't a great opening game for him. 2 loss in the last 3 and 4 in the last 6 has really hurt the Tangerines promotion push as they trail 6th place by 10 points.
Away from home 3 losses in 4 is a poor run given they were 5 games unbeaten just before this blip. Managerial changes have hurt this club and I believe the damage has already been done in terms of going up this year.
