Created and written by Howard Overman, the first series stars Lucy Punch as D.I. Kate Bishop and Toby Stephens as D.I. Jack Armstrong, a detective duo with a fractious relationship. Jack is lazy and disorganised but charming whereas Kate is efficient and usually exasperated by Jack's way of doing things. The show also stars Rory Kinnear who plays Kate's husband Dan, with whom she is going through marriage counselling. A second series was announced on January 18, 2012 and began filming on the same day. Lucy Punch and Rory Kinnear did not return, with Miranda Raison playing D.I. Georgina Dixon and Nick Dunning as her father in their places.The first series was produced by Greenlit Rights Productions and the second is produced by Eleventh Hour Films. During the UK transmission of the programme in July 2010, it was reported that Greenlit had entered administration....Two detectives; one is cynical and over sexed, the other an asset to the profession. Their unbalanced partnership gets them through a series of strange cases almost smoothly. While managing work life, they have to manage each other and their personal lives......"Vexed" is a comedy drama series which follows the exploits of Jack and Kate, a pair of police detectives who struggle to balance their personal problems with their police careers. At the start of series two, DI Jack Armstrong is now paired with a new partner, in the shape of fast-tracked rookie detective Georgina Dixon.

Episode Summary:
Police detectives Jack and Georgina are sent to investigate the murder of a student on a modern university campus and find themselves drawn into the complicated and overly PC world of gender politics. Meanwhile Georgina meets her perfect man, and Jack obsesses over Danielle, a girl who sounds very masculine to Georgina and they are soon drawn into the complicated and overly PC world of gender politics.
