Episode Summary:
Hanna’s new interest in crime novels helps her to come up with a plan to try and figure out whose body is in Ali’s grave. While Hanna is on her hunt, Spencer is working overtime to decipher the stories in Ali’s diary which she hopes will reveal the identity of Ali’s mystery man. But with both girls hot on the trail, will their work lead them straight into “A’s” path? Meanwhile, Aria is upset with the new friend Mike has made and Emily’s dad is concerned about her behavior.
Series Genl Info: The series follows the lives of Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), four girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their queen bee, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). One year later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets. At first they think it's Alison herself, but after she is found dead, the girls realize that someone else knows their secrets, — including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew. After an initial order of 10 episodes, on June 28, 2010, ABC Family ordered an additional 12 episodes for season one. These episodes began airing on January 3 and ended on March 21, 2011.Four friends band together against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their darkest secrets, whilst unraveling the mystery of the murder of their best friend. The series follows the lives of four teenage girls – Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, Hanna Marin, and Spencer Hastings – whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis,until her body is found is when they join together again at her funeral where the immediatley start begin receiving text messages from an anonymous source , "A", who threatens to expose their secrets – including long-hidden ones they thought only their close friend Alison knew.
