Hibernian's Paul Heffernan returns from a thigh injury for Thursday's Edinburgh derby against Hearts.Kevin Thomson is also in contention following a calf strain but Alex Harris remains out with an ankle injury.Hearts manager Gary Locke has an unchanged squad with Ryan Stevenson having returned from a hamstring injury in Sunday's draw with St Mirren.
Gary Oliver (ankle), Mark Ridgers (knee) and Jason Holt (foot) remain out due to injury.
Hibernian manager Terry Butcher: "There have been a lot of firsts that we have achieved since [assistant] Maurice [Malpas] and myself came to the club in seven matches.
"We had never beaten Ross County in the league or the cup and we have done just that. We hadn't won at home for a long time and we have done that.
"The two results against Hearts during the early part of the season [both 1-0 defeats] don't mean a thing to us now.
"We have changed, the team has changed, the mentality has changed, the football has changed.
"There has been lots of change at our football club and we obviously want to change the results and make sure we put into effect our way of making change.
"What we are concerned about is doing the right things and doing everything to the best of our ability.
"We have got great hope at this football club now, which we didn't have before, and we are going into the game full of confidence, buoyant and full of optimism."
Hearts manager Gary Locke: "If we win the derby we go into plus points. It would be huge, psychologically, for everyone here, just getting into positive points would be fantastic. That's been our aim.
"Hibs have certainly got better since Terry went in there which is not a shock to me. I knew that would happen.
"So we're facing a different Hibs side from the two we've already faced this season. They're a lot more physical, a lot stronger. Terry's put a lot of bigger lads in the team.

"Hibs are favourites, there's no doubt about that. But I'm sure I've got players who can cause Hibs one or two problems.
"We've had some good results this season against Hibs and Aberdeen, probably two of the bigger teams in Scotland.
"You celebrate any derby win, we've certainly enjoyed the two derbies so far this season.
"So we've got to make sure we go down and enjoy this one. It'll be like a normal derby; 100 miles per hour, it'll be a battle, but it's important we make sure we win it."
