The Valley has passed an initial pitch inspection ahead of Tuesday's re-arranged FA Cup third round tie between Charlton Athletic and Oxford United. The match has been postponed twice because of a waterlogged pitch, while Charlton's match at home to Barnsley on Saturday was also called off.
An inspection was carried out on Monday afternoon by a local official.
The Addicks have problems with the drainage system at the ground, which cannot be resolved until the summer.
The Championship side have installed a dome over the pitch to allow hot air to circulate over the surface, but a further pitch inspection will be carried out by matchday referee Stephen Martin on Tuesday.
Swedish midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic could be included the Charlton squad after signing from Standard Liege.
Forward Marvin Sordell is out with a hamstring injury while full-back Lawrie Wilson (hamstring) is also a doubt.
Centre-back Leon Cort (knee) is still out while forward Michael Smith, who has returned from a loan spell at AFC Wimbledon, is cup-tied.
Oxford will be without new signing Nicky Wroe.
The Preston midfielder arrived on loan last week and made his U's debut in the 0-0 draw against Portsmouth on Saturday but he is cup tied and unavailable for the clash at The Valley.
Manager Chris Wilder, who admits his side are missing a spark, will be boosted by the return of experienced striker Dave Kitson following suspension.
The winners of the tie will travel to Championship side Huddersfield Town in the fourth round on the weekend of 25-26 January.
