On-loan Swansea City defender Alan Tate could make his first start for Aberdeen against Hibernian after Michael Hector returned to parent club Reading. Midfielder Craig Murray returns after a bug, but defenders Andrew Considine and Clark Robertson remain out.
Hibs midfielder Alex Harris has recovered from a broken foot that has kept him out since August.
It means that manager Terry Butcher has a fully-fit squad for the trip to the Granite City.
Aberdeen go into the game in fine form having won seven of their last eight outings, while Hibs are unbeaten in five games.
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes : "I think it's going to be a tough match. They are in a fantastic bit of form at the moment.
"The biggest compliment I can pay Terry Butcher and his team is that I am not surprised they have improved.
"He finds ways to win games and his players look as if they are well versed in what he demands.
"Hibs have always had good players, but I think they have an identity now and it's not too dissimilar to how his Inverness team played....Aberdeen responded almost immediately and, after the jinking Barry Robson left Jeroen Tesselaar's head spinning, Jack rose to meet the cross only for his 12-yard header to rebound clear off the underside of the crossbar.
Boyd showed his strength again to rob Willo Flood just outside the Dons penalty box and ought to have done better than fire his low drive off Langfield's legs.
Kilmarnock, with impressive teenager Craig Slater controlling midfield, passed up another great opportunity when a Sean Clohessy cross found its way to Chris Johnston at the back post.
However, the winger's powerful drive skimmed the top of the crossbar from only eight yards and Rory McKenzie also ought to have done better than shoot wildly wide after pouncing on a poor Jonny Hayes pass-back.
It took until a late long-range effort from Michael Hector shortly before the break for Aberdeen to test Samson, but they used the strong wind at their backs to apply most of the second-half pressure.

"I think Hibs will expect a tough match from us as we are in decent form, so it's two clubs who have good support and hopefully they will all come out and make the game that bit more special."
Hibernian manager Terry Butcher : "The game against Aberdeen is shaping up to be a cracker.
"Both teams are on form, both are scoring goals and both will want to have a go at each other, so it should be a good game."
