Lincoln City make the mammoth trip down to the south west this Wednesday night to face League Two strugglers Plymouth Argyle at Home Park, in an FA Cup 1st Round Replay, after neither side could break the deadlock last Saturday at Sincil Bank.

After Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Forest Green, Gary Simpson may look to make changes to his frail defence, and Tom Miller should come in for Dan Gray at right back. Luke Foster who hasn't featured for a number of weeks may be preferred to Mo Fofana in The Imps midfield as Simpson looks to grind out an away win for only the third time this season.

Danny Rowe still remains some way from fitness, so Nick Wright who impressed in the first game, will probably be preferred to Bohan Dixon in The Imps attack at the expense of cup tied Chris Sharp. Todd Jordan and Jake Sheridan will be hoping that Marlon Jacksons poor performance at the weekend, will allow them to enjoy a rare start out wide for City.

Since the original tie at Sincil Bank, Plymouth have played just once drawing 1-1 at York City on Saturday. They are currently on a five match unbeaten run in all competitions under John Sheridan but boast a fairly woeful home record recently, winning just one of their last five games at Home Park.

With both teams cash strapped this game represents an excellent opportunity for both sides to get some much needed money into their respective coffers. The winners of the tie have been presented with a fairly winnable game against Skrill Premier League Welling United in the next round at home in early December.

With the incentives of the third round not far away and a plumb tie potentially at The Emirates or Anfield on the horizon, this fixture probably represents the Imps best way of getting funds in to mount a play-off push this season. The stakes couldn't be higher, but as shown on Monday night after Brackley dispatched Gillingham, there's no reason the Imps get themselves through to fight another day in the FA Cup. This cups all about upsets hopefully there will be one more this round come Thursday morning.
