Episode Summary:
After being resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time, Ichabod Crane finds himself in modern-day Sleepy Hollow, where he quickly realizes that evil has awoken with him. When Sheriff August Corbin is killed by the infamous Headless Horseman, Ichabod forms an unlikely bond with Detective Abbie Mills, a young cop who has her own childhood supernatural experiences. Together, the two embark on a mission to stop evil and uncover mysteries dating back to the founding of our country. Captain Frank Irving hesitates to believe Ichabod's tales of supernatural evil. But when Ichabod's former wife, Katrina, provides clues about impending evil, they all begin to realize that this town is anything but sleepy.
About The Show: The pilot episode was filmed in Salisbury, North Carolina. The rest of the first season will film in Wilmington, North Carolina. Filming began in early July 2013.Sleepy Hollow has been confirmed to air in Canada on the Global Television Network, but no release date has been given. In Australian the series will premiere on Network Ten on September 17, 2013, just hours after the US premiere. In Spain, the series will broadcast on Fox International, although no release date was given. Universal Channel will air the series in the United Kingdom......After Ichabod Crane "dies" during a mission for General George Washington in 1790, he awakens in 2013 Sleepy Hollow. But so does the Headless Horseman, whose head Ichabod lopped off before his perceived death. The horseman begins his nightly killing spree, and Ichabod must partner with newly appointed Sheriff Abbie Mills.....Abbie is made the new sheriff after the horseman killed the previous sheriff upon awakening. While hunting the Horseman, Abbie looks into the old case files her old partner (the former sheriff) was investigating and learns of two types of occult groups -- one for good, the other evil -- which may have summoned the horseman again. If the horseman is not stopped, dark supernatural forces will affect the Earth. This becomes more difficult as the Horseman discovers modern weaponry, which he assimilates into his ritualistic hunt. Ichabod must also adjust to the societal and technological differences of the 21st century.......Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) wakes up 200+ years in the future and meets Sleepy Hollow police Lieutenant Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie).
