Bournemouth's new signing Tokelo Rantie has been granted a UK visa and could make his debut in Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Blackpool at Dean Court.
Manager Eddie Howe confirmed his record signing had gained the necessary paperwork, but he is yet to arrive in the country after international duty and his new manager will leave it late before making the call.
Winger Matt Ritchie is "not too far away" according to Howe having been missing since pre-season but the former Burnley boss has been keeping his cards close to his chest on his two other absentees.
Josh McQuiod and Eunan O'Kane were both sidelined before the international break and Howe confirmed he is unsure whether they will be match fit for the clash with the unbeaten Tangerines.
Top-of-the-table Blackpool, meanwhile, could give forward Thomas Ince his first start in over a month.
The Sky Bet Championship's surprise package have shot to the summit despite the absence of their highly-rated 21-year-old, whose only act since August 5 was to come off the bench and score the winner against Watford at Bloomfield Road.
Ince has been struggling with a groin injury and did not feature for the England Under-21s in either of their recent games, yet that was more as a precaution.
The Tangerines have centre-back Gary Mackenzie (hamstring) back in training while Northern Ireland international Craig Cathcart (knee) faces a late fitness test.
Deadline-day recruits Bradley Orr, Nathan Tyson and Dutch winger Marvin Zeegelaar are all awaiting their debuts.
