Injured PSV Eindhoven duo Zakaria Bakkali and Park Ji-sung face late fitness tests ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League clash with AC Milan.

Coach Phillip Cocu wanted both players to take part in training on Monday to see whether they would be passed fit for the first leg of the play-off at Philips Stadion before making a decision.

Seventeen-year-old winger Bakkali, who scored a hat-trick on his second Eredivisie appearance for PSV nine days ago, has since sustained a small tear in his groin on international duty with Belgium, while on-loan QPR midfielder Park is suffering from a muscle injury.

Cocu told De Telegraaf: "For both (players) the training is an important test.

PSV Eindhoven have conceded just twice en route to winning all five of their competitive games so far this season, with the Eredivisie runners-up now hosting AC Milan at the Philips Stadion. With the Serie A season not kicking off until next weekend, Milan are yet to play a single competitive game, perhaps handing the Dutch side an early match fitness advantage.

PSV may be without teenager Zakaria Bakkali who has been struggling with a groin injury, though a rather more concerning absentee would be Dutch international Luciano Narsingh. The midfielder hasn't played a game since last December, and has been recovering from surgery on a knee ligament injury. He's likely to miss out again.AC Milan have a couple of players on the injury list, with full-back Mattia De Sciglio and striker Robinho both left out of Max Allegri's squad.

The rossoneri haven't beaten PSV in their last three meetings, and have lost both of their last two games at the Philips Stadion. Incumbent PSV coach Phillip Cocu played in both of those matches, and will be hoping to mastermind another win this time around -- albeit from the bench, rather than the midfield.

PSV have a good defense in Eredivisie. So far they have conceded 2 goals in their opening three games so their defense looks unchanged. Hiljemark might be preferred over Schaars to play in midfield alongside Skipper, Wijnaldum and Maher.

A month ago Bakkali was an unknown player to many but now the Belgian attacker is seen as one of the most exciting prospects in the Europe. He forms a formidable force with fellow attackers Memphis and Locadia. Memphis had a fine game this weekend against Go Ahead Eagles but both Locadia and Bakkali rested to face Milan (Bakkali remains in doubt). PSV have scored 11 times in just three games, Bakkali and Wijnaldum are their top goal scorers with 3 goals each.

Massimiliano Allegri needs to pick a very attentive starting 11 to face PSV who play more like Barcelona and Arsenal. Short passing, through balls and clinical finishing is the trademark of this PSV side.

Milan defense needs to be rock solid against the defiant PSV attack. Any error would cost them a lot. Montolivo and Poli can be placed on both sides of De Jong to provide the midfield traffic for the PSV forwards. It’ll include the surveillance of Bakkali and Memphis. Both midfielders can play some diagonal passes to the Milan forwards. Montolivo’s deft passing would be the key to decide Milan’s destiny. De Jong needs to keep an eye on any intruder looking to invade Milan’s territory.

El Shaarawy will use his tricks of trade on the left side of the pitch while Boateng can play a free role between midfielders and forwards. In attack Milan largely rely on Balotelli and an instrumental performance is required by Balotelli in front of 35,000 jeering PSV fans and hopefully he’ll deliver the much-needed away goal.
