Series Genl Info: The title is a play on the title of another detective series, A Touch of Frost, as well as the vulgar British euphemism "to touch cloth"...In A Touch of Cloth 2: Undercover Cloth, Cloth returns to the force and is tasked with going undercover to bring down Macratty after a bank robbery and find out what his next job is. Wannabe Mayor Hope Goodgirl is added to the mix as well, and she's taken a shine to Oldman. Things at the station are a tad awkward, though, what with his on-off relationship with partner Oldman, not to mention ACC Tom Boss, the man who killed his wife, reinstated after apologising and a successful stint in rehab......."A Touch of Cloth" is an all-encompassing parody of every police procedural ever written. It stars John Hannah (The Mummy, Spartacus) as DCI Jack Cloth - a maverick, heavy drinking loner who has thrown himself into his work following the mysterious death of his wife.
