Show Genl Info: The show features four celebrity artists who will put together teams of singers who they’ll coach and mentor throughout the competition. Week by week, individuals will be eliminated until each celebrity has only one person on their team left to compete for the title of “The Voice of America”, in a live finale.....Many other countries have adapted the format and began airing their national versions in 2011 and 2012. It has become a rival to Simon Fuller's Idol and Simon Cowell's The X Factor.American television network NBC ran a variant of the format titled The Voice in April 2011, with the winner set to receive $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Republic. NBC partnered with John de Mol, Mark Burnett and production company Warner Horizon Television to bring the format of The Voice of Holland to America. Castings were held in major American cities (Chicago, New York, Miami, Nashville, Minneapolis, Austin, Los Angeles and Seattle).Online applications were also allowed and ended on 1 March 2011.The third country to air its own version of The Voice was Ukraine. Channel 2 is to begin airing its version of The Voice in January 2012.Season three of The Voice has already finished up its early auditions in front of producers, which started in early March.
