The Jeffersonian team rushes to prevent a viral outbreak while investigating the murder of journalist Mia Garrett after her infected body is found at a biohazard facility. When the mutated virus that killed Mia infects Jeffersonian intern Arastoo Vaziri (guest star Pej Vahdat), their only chance of saving him is by solving the murder. Tension and passion build as the team races against the clock to find the killer - and the cure.

Brilliant, but socially inept, forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence Brennan works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington DC. After consulting for him on a FBI case, she is approached by cocky yet charming ex-Army Ranger turned Special Agent, Seeley Booth to help the Bureau solve crimes by identifying human remains that are too far gone for standard FBI forensic investigations. Brennan's empirical, literal view of the world causes friction with Booths emotive, instinctive attitude creating a volatile relationship. However as their case load increases the symbiotic partnership produces results and with the support of Brennan's Squint Squad, murderers, past and present should be on the look out.....While we’re obviously intrigued by what is sure to be a stomach-turning scene when a human body gets blown up by a bomb in Bones Season 8, Episode 3: “The Gunk in the Garage,” there’s another part of this episode that has us feeling plenty curious.
