One single man has to try to impress thirty single women. Each woman has a white light which she can turn off if she is unimpressed by the man. The game starts when the single man descends the "Love Lift" while his chosen song is played in the background. Paddy attempts to find dates for a selection of different women. If they aren't impressed by what they see and hear they can turn off their lights. Any girls with their lights still turned on at the end of several rounds they have the chance to be selected to go out on a date with the man. If all the girls end up turning their lights off the man goes home without a date. Paddy also updates on how last week's dates went.
Show Genl Info: It is based on the original Australian tv show; Taken Out.In September 2010, Irish broadcaster TV3 started broadcating an Irish version of the show. The series is produced by Talkback Thames for ITV. The first series was filmed at Granada Television's Granada Studios in Manchester. Due to the success of the first series, the second series was filmed at The Maidstone Studios in Maidstone, Kent which offered increased space and capacity for audience members.A third series began broadcasting on 7 January 2012.Take Me Out - The Gossip is a behind the scenes sister-show that began airing weekly on ITV2 from Series Three, following the broadcast of the main programme. A similar format, previously broadcast online, featuring backstage gossip and interviews with the contestants, was regularly made available on the ITV website just hours after the broadcast of the main programme,Watch Now Series 4, Episode 2, Paddy McGuinness presents the madcap dating show in which he tries to find dates for 30 single girls.....This is followed by a video from the single man's friends and family. In the third round, the single man attempts to show off an ability he has in order to impress the women. After these rounds, if there are more than two women left with their lights on, the single man must turn off the lights of those remaining until he is left with two. He must then ask a question to both women, after which he decides which one he would like to take on a date. His aim is to convince as many women as possible to keep their lights on so that he can then pick, from the women remaining, the one that he wishes to take on a date. If there is only one woman left, the man and woman will go on a date. If no lights are left on - what is referred to as a "blackout" - then the man must leave the show without a date, accompanied by the Celine Dion version of the hit Eric Carmen song "All by Myself". On the first series, the successful couples were taken on a date to Fernando's in Manchester, which is actually Club Bijou on Chapel Street, the outcome of which is shown as part of the following week's show. For the second series, the date takes place abroad on the Isle of Fernando's - Tenerife. For the third series, the date takes place in Cyprus. The show has become well known for its array of catchphrases such as "No likey, no lightey", "If you're turned off, turn off", "Let the shepherd see the pie" and "Fernando's!"........Paddy McGuinness helps 30 single women find their perfect man in a game show that allows women to turn off their respective lights if they're not interested in the prospective guy. Each week a handful of men descend to the floor where the women judge them on first impressions, a quick speech, a video extract and an act of talent.
