Scot McNaughton had to be taken off at half-time with a bad cut to his face so youth product Ben Nugent played the final 45 minutes but the right-back should be available again although he may have to wear a protective mask.
McNaughton may have to make do with a place on the bench if Turner gets the nod to return against the Robins.
More than 25,000 fans are expected at the Cardiff City Stadium for their first home game since the goalless draw with Ipswich on January 12.
Bristol City midfielder Neil Kilkenny, meanwhile, could make a surprise return to action at Cardiff on Saturday after returning to training.
The Australia international damaged his ankle in the victory over Ipswich on January 26, but he was back in full training with his team-mates on Thursday and is set to be available for the Robins in south Wales.
Head coach Sean O'Driscoll will also be able to select winger Albert Adomah for the first time after the Ghanian returned from international duty at the African Nations Cup.
Striker Sam Baldock, who scored on his debut in the 4-2 victory over Cardiff back in August, will undergo a late check on his calf injury but veteran defender Louis Carey will not be risked.
Club captain Cole Skuse could return but his fitness will be monitored before the short trip to face the runaway leaders.

Cardiff City

Cardiff defend an eight point lead at the top of the table, and an eight-match unbeaten league sequence of six wins and two draws.
The 2-1 home loss to rock-bottom Peterborough on 15 December was their only defeat in 15 Championship outings, 11 of which were won.
Victory would see the Bluebirds equalling last season's total of 40 home points.

Bristol City
Next-to-bottom Bristol City have won three of their last four under new manager Sean O'Driscoll, but are still three points from safety.
They are averaging a point a game (31 from 31), but are yet to pick up any on their league travels this calendar year, after three consecutive losses.
Liam Fontaine is standing by to make his 250th Bristol City start.
