Suzy Nakamura was cast later that month. Matthew Perry was announced as the series' lead actor on March 1. Laura Benanti, Allison Miller (who took the part in second position to the cancelled Terra Nova), and Khary Payton were cast later. On April 20, 2012, the pilot became the first of the 2012–13 American television season to gain a series order of thirteen episodes. It was later reported that NBC was striving to put the series into production early so that it could begin airing outside of the regular season, in August 2012. Ultimately, Go On aired its pilot on August 8, 2012, during the 2012 Summer Olympics, as a "sneak preview".....An irreverent yet charming sportscaster who, after a loss, finds solace from members of his mandatory group therapy sessions........Matthew Perry ("Friends", "Mr. Sunshine") stars as Ryan King, a recent widower and sports talk radio host ready to get back to work after the loss of his wife. Ryan's alpha-male boss, Stephen, played by John Cho ("Star Trek", "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle"), has a different plan in store for Ryan, making him attend grief counseling before returning to the air. A reluctant Ryan finds himself in a support group for "life change", where he meets an oddball cast of characters, all with their own backstories filled with varying degrees of loss.

Episode Summary:
Ryan receives an invitation from Bob Costas, his hero, to take part on his new TV show while Fausta invites everyone in the group to her niece's Quincenierra - everyone except Anne. Meanwhile, after completing a major project at work, Mr. K searches to find a new way to contribute and make a difference.
