That's how pivotal this 24 hours could be.If Roberto Mancini nicks the title this time around it would be an even greater achievement than that of 12 months ago because his squad is palpably inferior to the title winners of last May, whilst United are clearly stronger thanks to their reliant Robin. Mancini's assertion that his failure to sign van Persie might be key is one of the things he has got right this season.Like Mancini, Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez is looking at the probability of losing his job once the season is done. The Spaniard's interview this week declaring his lifelong love of Real Madrid and ambition to manage his country suggest that Benitez is already looking beyond the Bridge.However, strange things happen; Chelsea's interim boss may actually have a better chance of survival than City's incumbent. Despite their labours against first Brentford and then Sparta Prague, Chelsea could still win two cups this season; how ironic would it be if winning the FA Cup and the Champions League was ultimately not enough to save Roberto Di Matteo, and yet winning the FA Cup and the Europa League was Rafa's salvation?

Team News:
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could miss a fifth successive game with a calf injury.
Gareth Barry is a doubt with an ankle problem sustained during last week's FA Cup win over Leeds.
Chelsea are likely to be much-changed from the side that started Thursday's Europa League last-32 tie against Sparta Prague.
Frank Lampard, Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, David Luiz, Eden Hazard and Demba Ba could all be recalled.

Head-to-head
Chelsea have won 10 of their 15 Premier League visits to Manchester City but have lost their last three trips.
Manchester City have won five of their last eight games in all competitions against Chelsea, including August's Charity Shield.

Manchester City

Frank Lampard will make his 550th league appearance. He has scored 199 goals for Chelsea, three behind Bobby Tambling's club record tally. He has scored in four successive Premier League appearances for the first time since August 2010 and has 11 goals in only 13 league starts this season.

Boss Ally McCoist has demanded an improvement this time from the performance they gave in their last visit.
He said: "It was as poorly as we have played. It was anything but a good experience. I was so disappointed in the manner in which we played.
"It will be a tough game. The playing surface at this stage of the season might not be at its best, which will make it a little bit harder to play a passing game.
"So, more so than ever, we will be faced with a cup tie atmosphere and type of game, which is fine, because we will be ready for it.
"The last time we were down there, we did not perform well and we have to do better."

For the second season running, the Robins have 31 points after 33 games, but last term they rallied to pick up a further 18 from the closing 13 fixtures to finish two places and nine points clear of the drop zone.

Barnsley
Recently appointed manager David Flitcroft has not only guided Barnsley to a quarter-final tie in the FA Cup with Manchester City, but also out of the relegation zone, and has transformed them into the "form" team in the Championship.
The Tykes have won their last six in all competitions, and are vying for a fifth successive league victory, which has not been achieved since the opening five games of the 1996/97 campaign that led to promotion to the Premier League.

Burnley
Mid-table Burnley are looking for a first victory in five Championship outings, having notched two points from a last possible 12.
Although they have lost half their away games (eight of 16), Championship matches on the road involving the Clarets have yielded 54 goals (24 for, 30 against); only Watford's exceed that.
Lee Grant is poised to make his 100th league start in goal for Burnley.

The Lancashire club have not lost a league game in which they scored first, but the 2-0 midweek defeat at Hull was the first time they had failed to find the net in any competition since Boxing Day.

Leeds United
Ninth-placed Leeds - the busiest of the Championship clubs - go into their 42nd match of the season, looking for their first back-to-back league wins of 2013.
Neil Warnock's side have not won in six league games on the road, and have lost all their away fixtures against the top 15 clubs, with the exception of the trip to Brighton, which ended 2-2.
Their trio of away victories have been against three of the bottom four clubs, and they are yet to keep a clean sheet on their Championship travels.

The saga over the proposed transfer of Peter Odenwingie certainly didn't help, but they are still five points better off than Roy Hodgson's side were at this stage 12 months ago and have the foundations to better last season's.That's the size of the task ahead for Sunderland. A run of five wins in the last 11 matches has calmed the nerves on Wearside, as they were rising after only two victories in the first 15 of the season.As always with Martin O'Neill they have been strong defensively; coincidentally, West Brom are the only team to score more than three goals against them this season. However scoring goals has been the real frustration, with only 28 in 26 games so far. Steven Fletcher has 10 of those alone, so Danny Graham's arrival should ease some of the burden in time as they aim to look upwards in the table.

West Brom head coach Steve Clarke has to decide whether to recall striker Peter Odemwingie, whose attempt to force a move to QPR last month failed.
Defender Goran Popov will serve the second game of a three-match ban for his red card against Tottenham.
Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill could hand a first start to January signing Danny Graham.
