Head-to-head
Middlesbrough's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the reverse fixture in August took the head-to-head score between the clubs to 17 wins apiece from 46 competitive meetings.
The Eagles are vying for a 10th win in 13 home league matches against Middlesbrough, but defeat would see the Teesside club wrapping up only their fourth double over the south London outfit.
Both clubs are looking for a 50th league goal against their opponent.

Crystal Palace
Fifth-placed Palace are chasing their third league win of 2013, which will extend their unbeaten home league sequence to 15.
Watford are the only club this season to have left Selhurst Park with maximum points.
The Eagles are the only club this term to have won as many as five Championship matches from losing positions.

Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough, one place and two points below Palace, ended a dismal run of five successive league defeats, with Tuesday's 1-0 home win over Leeds, when Curtis Main scored with nine minutes remaining, although he got sent off six minutes later.
Tony Mowbray's side are still bottom of the Championship's "form" table, and need to pick up their first points in five attempts on the road, since a 3-2 triumph over rock-bottom Peterborough on 8 December.
Boro have gained 18 fewer points away from home than at the Riverside (34 at home, 16 away), which is the widest such discrepancy in the Championship.
