Liverpool V Everton live Stream Premier League -Preview 28th Jan 2014

The 29-year-old, who has become a key member of the Everton team since his move from Wigan Athletic in 2007, has penned a four-year-deal. He has made 215 Barclays Premier League appearances for the club, and 72 for Wigan, and has claimed a total of 22 goals and 33 assists.
"It would be an understatement to say we are delighted to secure the best footballing years of Leighton Baines at our club," said Toffees manager Roberto Martinez. "It's long-term, so it's for the next four years and it's a phenomenal boost. It's massive and exciting for the future. Leighton has just turned 29 and brings the right measure of maturity and football knowledge in a very specialised position on the pitch, bringing an infectious and positive influence to the rest of the squad.
"I know that every fan will be delighted with the news and we all share that excitement looking at what's left of this campaign and beyond. With the crucial games we have ahead, it is going to be vitally important to have Leighton's experience there to help us fight for our aims."
There will be more than local pride at stake in Tuesday's mouth-watering Merseyside derby as only a point separates the two teams after Everton dropped down to sixth after they could only draw at West Bromwich Albion in their last Barclays Premier League match.
There is little between the neighbours from across Stanley Park in the battle to secure UEFA Champions League football and they have been evenly matched in recent encounters.
Each of the last three derbies have finished as a draw. In the latest Daniel Sturridge denied Everton a win at Goodison Park in November with a late goal to snatch a 3-3 draw.
Both Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and his Everton counterpart Martinez will be eager to secure their first Merseyside derby victory. Rodgers' side have made a promising start to 2014, winning four of their five matches this year and reaching the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win at Bournemouth on Saturday. Sturridge was on target against the Championship side and the England forward has scored in each of his last four games.
Liverpool have made Anfield a fortress this season, losing only once at home, when Southampton came away with a 1-0 victory back in September. Rodgers is expected to recall in-form winger Raheem Sterling after the teenager started on the bench at Bournemouth, while Jon Flanagan is vying with Martin Kelly to start at right-back in the absence of Glen Johnson, who was ruled out "indefinitely" by Rodgers last week due to several injuries.
Simon Mignolet will return to the starting line-up after being rested on Saturday, but Lucas Leiva (knee), Jose Enrique (knee) and Daniel Agger (calf) all remain sidelined. Joe Allen could be back after sitting out the trip to the south coast and it remains to be seen if Mamadou Sakho (hamstring) will be fit.
Everton also reached the fifth round of the FA Cup at the weekend, but their 4-0 win at Stevenage came at a cost as Bryan Oviedo suffered a double fracture of his left leg. The Costa Rica international looks unlikely to play again for his club this season. Everton have not won in the last seven derbies - a run stretching back to since October 2010, but the trip to Anfield holds no fears for Martinez.
"We are capable of going anywhere and beating any team," he said. "What we will need on Tuesday night is a combination of those two games. We need to be absolutely perfect.
"We're not going to go to Anfield feeling inferior. We are not going there looking for a damage-limitation performance."
Martinez, whose side are unbeaten in their last six games, may include new signing Lacina Traore in his squad for the first time. The manager said on Monda: "Lacina will arrive today and we're going to bring him into the squad as soon as he's ready. It's a little early to tell if he'll be able to make the derby or not but he'll be working with us from today."

The Spaniard added that six other players will be closely monitored to see if they will be available for the match. "We've got a group of six players that we need to assess," he added. "They're carrying a few knocks and injuries. Phil Jagielka had to come off at half-time against Stevenage and we have Sylvain Distin, Antolin Alcaraz, Seamus Coleman, Steven Pienaar and Ross Barkley. We're doubtful they can make the derby but they're not far away so maybe someone has a chance."
Darron Gibson and Arouna Kone (both knee) are definitely out.

Hull City will be looking to avoid a fourth straight Barclays Premier League defeat when they travel to Crystal Palace. Steve Bruce's side are 11th but a run of three league defeats in a row, in which they have failed to score a goal, has narrowed the gap between themselves and the bottom three. Palace, on the other hand, have climbed to 16th and a home victory on Tuesday would underline the contrasting recent fortunes of the two sides.
When they met in November, City held a 10-point advantage over Palace, but if the South London club can complete a league double over Hull, they will draw level on points with them.
History on the hosts' side, too, with Hull having returned winless from their last 10 trips to Selhurst Park, a record stretching back to 1986. Barry Bannan's late goal settled matters at Hull this season.
Both clubs were in action on Saturday in the fourth round of the FA Cup, City earning a 2-0 win at Southend United, while Palace were beaten 2-1 by the holders Wigan Athletic.
Palace manager Tony Pulis masterminded a 1-0 victory over his old employers Stoke City last time out in the league, Jason Puncheon netting the decisive goal. Hull were beaten 1-0 at Norwich City, a defeat compounded by Tom Huddlestone's late red card, meaning he missed the trip to Roots Hall.
Huddlestone is likely to start at Palace, while Robbie Brady, who featured from the bench against Southend, will also come into consideration for his first league start since early December following a groin problem. James Chester (hamstring), Joe Dudgeon (knee) and Sone Aluko (calf) are all ruled out.

Pulis has relatively few injury concerns. Kagisho Dikgacoi and Jerome Thomas (both calf) could return, while Cameron Jerome, who was ineligible to face his parent club Stoke in the previous league game, is set to start in attack. Defender Jack Hunt (ankle) and long-term absentee Glenn Murray (knee) remain on the sidelines.

Swansea City will eye the visit of Fulham as an opportunity to arrest an eight-game winless run in the Barclays Premier League. That alarming dip in form has dropped Michael Laudrup's side to within three points of the relegation zone, having enjoyed an eight-point cushion in early December, when Fulham were 18th.
Rene Meulensteen's side have since climbed one place but the gap to Swansea is just two points and Fulham can go above their hosts for the first time since August with victory on Tuesday.
Away days have provided Fulham with little cheer this season, particularly since the 4-1 win at Crystal Palace in October. Fulham have played seven away matches in the top flight since that triumph, winning just one and conceding 22 goals in the process.
Swansea's recent home form will offer the visitors some cause for optimism, however, with Laudrup's men having lost their last three at the Liberty Stadium. The hosts may cite mitigating circumstances, though, having played Everton, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in that run.
November's meeting between the two had Swansea run out 2-1 winners, Jonjo Shelvey netting the winner in the last 10 minutes. Wilfried Bony was the Welsh club's hero in the FA Cup on Saturday as he came off the bench at half-time to score twice and secure a 2-1 triumph over Birmingham City. With six goals in his last six games, the Ivorian is likely to start against Fulham, but Laudrup has several injury concerns.

Shelvey (hamstring), Michu and Jose Canas (both ankle) are out, while midfielders Nathan Dyer (ankle) and Jonathan de Guzman (calf), as well as goalkeeper Michel Vorm (knee), could come into the reckoning.
The visitors, having made 11 changes in the 1-1 draw in the FA Cup against Sheffield United on Sunday, will be comparatively fresh, with Fernando Amorebieta (knee) and Matt Briggs (hernia) their only absentees.

Swansea City (from): Tremmel, Vorm, Zabret, Amat, Chico, Davies, Meade, Obeng, Rangel, Situ, Taylor, Tiendalli, Williams, Britton, Dyer, Pablo, Pozuelo, Richards, Routledge, Bony, Donnelly, Lamah, Lita, Vazquez.

Arsenal can go four points clear temporarily at the top of the Barclays Premier League if they extend their winning run to eight matches at Southampton on Tuesday. Arsene Wenger's side have found consistency since their 6-3 defeat by Manchester City in December, claiming seven consecutive triumphs in all competitions. They were ruthless in the 4-0 FA Cup defeat of League One Coventry City on Friday and, while much is made of the threat they carry going forward, they have conceded only two goals in the last eight matches.
Wenger's charges have not lost to Southampton since November 2002, but can expect a stern test at St Mary's as they attempt to extend their lead at the top, with City and Chelsea not in action until Wednesday.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made his first Arsenal start since August against Coventry following a long injury lay-off. The player could be back on the substitutes' bench against his former club, but he is relishing the prospect of returning to the south coast once again.
"To go back there in any sense is always really nice, especially when we go to play them,” he told the club's website. "Last season I went back there and it was a surreal feeling for me, warming up on the opposite side of the pitch and being in the opposite dressing room.
"It was the first time I went back there to play so it was a bit weird for me. I'm looking forward to going back this season, obviously they're doing really well so it's a tough game for us."
Lukas Podolski staked his claim by scoring twice against Coventry, but the Germany forward could also return to the bench. Mikel Arteta (calf), Aaron Ramsey (thigh), Tomas Rosicky (broken nose) and Thomas Vermaelen (knee) are set to be back in contention. Wojciech Szczesny, Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud and Bacary Sagna are expected to be restored to the starting line-up. Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott (both knee) are long-term absentees.
Southampton have won their last three home games and striker Guly do Prado warned Arsenal not to expect an easy ride after scoring in Saturday's FA Cup win over Yeovil Town.

"We get confidence from these wins," the striker told the club's website. "We play for a win in every game, whether it’s in the FA Cup or the Premier League.  The win [v Yeovil] will give us confidence for Tuesday night against Arsenal. Now we have to think about that because it's going to be another big, hard game – but we are going to play to win."
Rickie Lambert (hamstring) and Artur Boruc (back) are expected to return after missing the clash with Yeovil and Victor Wanyama (calf) could feature for the first time since early last month.
Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is still suspended following a training-ground incident, while Dejan Lovren and Gaston Ramirez (both ankle) remain sidelined.

Southampton (from): Boruc, K Davis, Gazzaniga, Clyne, Fonte, Fox, Hooiveld, Martin, Shaw, Yoshida, Chambers, Cork, S Davis, Guly, Isgrove, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Ward-Prowse, Barnard, Lambert, Rodriguez.

Arsenal (from): Fabianski, Szczesny, Gibbs, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Sagna, Vermaelen, Flamini, Arteta, Cazorla, Flamini, Gnabry, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Ramsey, Rosicky, Wilshere, Park, Zelalem, Bendtner, Giroud, Podolski.

Norwich City host a Newcastle United side looking to improve a poor record at Carrow Road. Chris Hughton, the Norwich manager, will be facing his former club on Tuesday after his team moved five points clear of the Barclays Premier League relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Hull City last Saturday, their first victory in seven top-flight games.
Norwich know a second straight success could move them into the top half of the table and history is on their side, as they have not lost to Newcastle at home since a 2-1 defeat back in 1994. However, Alan Pardew’s team can be confident of ending their 20-year wait for a win at Carrow Road after a 3-1 triumph at West Ham United last weekend.
That result ended a run of four straight defeats in all competitions for Newcastle, with Yohan Cabaye scoring twice to take his tally for the season to seven. The France midfielder Cabaye is likely to be key to Newcastle's fortunes, while striker Loic Remy will look to score for a second consecutive match after scoring his first goal in five games against West Ham.
Defender Mathieu Debuchy returns for the visitors following a three-match suspension, leaving captain Fabricio Coloccini and Ryan Taylor (both knee) as Newcastle's only significant absentees.
Norwich are still without defenders Michael Turner and Elliot Bennett (both knee), midfielder Jonathan Howson (back) and Newcastle loanee Jonas Gutierrez, who is ineligible to play against his parent club.

Norwich are winless in the four previous Barclays Premier League meetings between the two sides, a streak that includes a 2-1 loss at St James' Park in November. Hughton hopes his players will be able to cement their Barclays Premier League status in the second half of the season.
"What encourages me is what I see in the changing room," he told the Eastern Daily Press. "They're a good group that really wants to do well and they're motivated to do well."

Mata's arrival is a boost for United, who exited the Capital One Cup on penalties in their semi-final against Sunderland last week on the back of a 3-0 top-flight defeat at Chelsea.
Manager David Moyes’ team drew 2-2 at Cardiff in November in the first meeting between the two sides since 1975 and since then Solskjaer has replaced Malky Mackay at the Welsh club. The 40-year-old can expect a rapturous reception on his return to Old Trafford, where he spent 11 years during his playing days and enjoyed a major role in such a successful period in United's history, including scoring the winner in the 1999 UEFA Champions League final.
The Norwegian has been charged with the task of keeping Cardiff in the Barclays Premier League, but they slipped to the bottom of the table with a 4-2 defeat at Manchester City in their last top-flight match.
Cardiff need to improve their away form if they are to avoid a return to the Championship, as they have won only once on their travels in the top flight. Solskjaer's side did triumph at Bolton Wanderers in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday, but Cardiff have taken just a point from their last six Barclays Premier League games.
The Cardiff boss will be hoping that United’s Robin van Persie (thigh) and Wayne Rooney (groin) are not yet ready to return. Moyes will also assess the fitness of Rio Ferdinand (knee), Nani (hamstring) and Michael Carrick (ankle), but captain Nemanja Vidic will not feature as he serves the second match of his suspension following his red card at Chelsea.
Kenwyne Jones could make his Cardiff debut if a swap deal with Stoke City involving Peter Odemwingie goes through in time and forward Jo Inge Berget could make his league bow after his move from Molde last week.  Fraizer Campbell, Steven Caulker and Craig Noone are expected to return to the starting line-up.
