Episode Summary:
When Dipper and Mabel discover evidence that the reported town founder is a hoax, they set out to expose the historical cover-up and prove that Mabel's silliness is not a bad thing. When Gravity Fall's holiday, Pioneer Day, comes around, Pacifica Northwest makes an announcement about her great grandfather, Nathaniel Northwest. Pacifica makes Mabel feel bad by telling her she's silly, and Mabel decides she should be more serious. Dipper then finds an article in his 3 book that says Nathaniel Northwest was a fraud. Enclosed was a map, with the triangle symbol. Dipper thinks they should burn the document, until Mabel makes a hat out of the paper, which shows them a map to Gravity Fall's Museum of History. There's an abstract painting shaped in a triangle, and when Mabel turns upside down, it reveals an angel, and she comments that she saw that statue in the cemetery. Once at the cemetery, Mabel sees the statue, and she pretends that the statue is picking her nose. She bends the statue's finger, opening a secret passageway. Mabel and Dipper enter it, revealing many Top secret documents. They come across a document called the Northwest cover-up, and the true founder of Gravity Falls was Quentin Trembley.

Only a misunderstood local boy named Norman Babcock (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who has the ability to speak with the dead, is able to prevent the destruction of his town by a centuries-old witch's curse. He'll also have to take on ghosts, witches, zombies, and (worst of all) the moronic grown-ups. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

by petit76 (United States) 16 August 2012: quite an interesting animation movie with everything fun to entertain,After seeing many low quaility animation movies recently Laika has made a masterpiece with Paranorman. The story may sound a bit awkward but it is quite captivating throughout the movie. A picked on and friendless kid is becoming the hero of his town when a curse breaks loose in his small New England town.I enjoyed every single minute of this movie trying to see what Laika did differently than other companies could have done. If you are a huge fan of animation movies and also love 3D pictures go and see this movie. I give 10 out of 10 for this whimsical movie. It was fun to see the character development and one-liners being cracked off by every single character in the movie. Norman reminded me of the kid in the Ups of last year. I loved the cinematic aspect, too. Nothing really fell short of humor and storywise. Everything was pair as a square! go and see this movie this weekend , you will be leaving the auditorium with a great smile.
